Oh Garett ~ you big baby!! Had you been a REAL cowboy - you'd have skipped the freezing.
JUST KIDDIN'!!!!
So.....King.....how are you feelin' today? Better I hope.
Well I went to work today. So far so good. I'm not in any reall bad pain. I've broken bones and torn ligaments and this isn't really that painfull so far, just annoying. The Worst pain i've ever felt, a girlfriend popping bumps on my face or back,(most of the time i didn't even see a bump) Not sure why but i'd rather you break my arm than to do that.

This will be the first time in 6 years that I won't get down to Ft. Myers and fish for snook with my cousin. Maybe next year

There are still some around, but not enough to target them. In my experience, I may be wrong. I think they move more offshore as we see them when bottom fishing. But while king fishing there are still some caught in July. I may be hanging around inshore that week, monitoring 16 and 68.

When I was a kid I had all 4 taken out in one day. The worst part was they were were still under the gum. To this day I still remember the surgeon digging away at the gums then pulling out the teeth. I was eating warm soup for 2 weeks.
Yes, salt water rinse with warm water.
Ya, all four of mine were under the gum. One of which was impacted and threatening my Mandible nerve which is why they said it was urgent for me to get it done, But I don't remember a thing they poured some powder under my tongue put a mask over my face and that all I remember till I got home.

I got my wisdom teeth cut out yesterday. I heard stories of good drugs. I got Some Motrin. It wasn't so bad yesterday but this morning there is more discomfort and my jaw is a bit swollen. Oh well i guess i won't be doing any drug induced posting or eating anything good for a while. Hopefull i'll fill well enough to do some fishing next week.

This boat has been exteremly well maintained. I haven't seen a used boat this well maintained. I've been on it several times. Its hard to find a boat that does it all, but this boat comes close. Perfect for the hard core fisherman or a leisurely day out with the family. Some people like to buy brand new boats, but with that you have the break in periods and getting all the littlle bugs worked out. By the time all that is done the boat has spent more time in the shop than on the water. This boat is ready to get you out on the water more.

I'll be hanging around that area but will be inshore, Tuesday-Thursday.

Hey, another Polar owner..........there do not appear to be a lot of us out there. I have a 2003 Flats 1788 w/70 hp Yamaha. It definitely is not fancy but it was in excellent shape when I found it, had low hours, the price was right and it meets my needs right now. I like the hatches at the back on either side of the transom, were those factory? Mine does not have those. I have done a few modifications on mine and find it to be a serviceable if not fast and flashy boat. I have 2 kids and really like how much room there is stable it is. Put some more photos on.
Howdy Fellow Polar Owner, I don't know much about mine. I tried looking up some info on it on the web but I came up empty. I know its a 1998 Polar Satwater series. Since my dad and bofore him my Uncle have had the boat those hatches have been there. For it to be a 17ft skiff it is really wide and there seems to be alot of room. I have not been out one her yet but i can't wait. How does the 70hp yamaha do pushing yours? I'll have some more photos up either tomorrow or Tuesday.

Corn, ants, and bumble bees. Andrew Zimmern could have made a meal off your boat.
That thing ought to run pretty good with that Yamaha. Good luck with it.
If there would have been some Balut, he would have had a feast.

Will do bro. I just need some nice weather to get her out there.
-
They were good. Cooked them up in a hot soy sauce mixture with jalapeno peppers with some rice and zucchini.
-
Ya Bro, She sure is heavey. When I get her on the water some, I might need your help in prop selection.
-
Thanks, we're gonna have to get out there some time.

My dad had a 17ft Polar Skiiff that has been sitting at the farm for quite a while. I decided give her some love and care and get her running this season. I don't have any before pictures but when i got her there was corn sprouting up by the transom, an ant hill in the live well and a bumble bee in the bilge line that got shot out after getting the pump to work. I've cleaned her up and she looks rather good. The old engine was running before it sat, but was not in "turn Key" condition and i knew little about how many hours and what level of care it was under. So i replaced it with a use yamaha 50hp four stroke high thrust with 50 hrs on it. I should have the Tolling motor and garmin installed by this week.

Hey Matt-
Have you seen any pogies yet? Thanks.
No i haven't. I have seen plenty of those Greenies/threadfin herring though, and a few mullet.

I wish this water here would warm up. I'm getting itchy!
This cool 70 degree weather isn't going to expedite the warming of the water much

Decided to do some fishing this week since i heard that some cobia are being caught. So I went and anchored up around the inlet. NODDA For me, not even a sniff. But as i'm sitting there on the Incoming tide I see spanish jumping here and there. I picked up my light trout rod and started casting. It was on. Just about every cast produced spanish. So weekenders pick up your rods and start battling spanish this weekend, Incoming tide in Beaufort Inlet. A guy back at the dock said he got 2 cobia on the back of shack. I'm done fishing this week but next week i'll be back out there hopefully and i can finally get a cobia. But for now

Called the dentist office today and told them one of my fillings wasn't hitting quite right, and an hour later they got me in and fixed it. That thing was driving me crazy. While i was in there they had talked to my insurance and they think they might have me covered on my wisdom teeth. Thank Goodness I've been spending to much money on my skiff project the last couple weeks.
