  1. Yeah pretty crappy indeed. As long as the link wasn't to a website that directly competes with the site this occured on I see no reason they should have deleted it. Thats no way to keep the members happy.
  2. Emanuel.....I completely forgot to check out your rigging job up close on Saturday. I don't know what happened because I have been wanting to check it out. Next time for sure. From the pics it looks great!
  3. Emanuel, we can definatly do the late night thing. We do it very often in that very spot. We back the boats in so its easy to board. Then we make a bon fire on the beach and let the kids roast marshmellows. We have a lot of chairs around the fire and enjoy some drinks and good conversation. The pic in my sig below was taken on just such a night. You can see the red glow on the boats from the fire.
  4. Looks great. I love working with starboard. As long as you have a table saw and a router you can make some nice stuff. good Job!
  5. I have a boy on the way, due August 15th. Within a few years I'll have a full time boating buddy.
  6. "Look at this idiot speeding through the no wake zone"
  7. I thought so, Aguste 60, me 35....well maybe you're right.
  8. Click on the Calander link at the top of the page. We have at least 2 birthdays a week here. Looks like me and Aguste share the same B-Day.
  9. yup, just saw it on the news. Click the link to one of the local news stations. There is video. http://www4.wsvn.com/news/main/local/
  10. Like the Prez sayz....."its going to get worse before it gets better"
  11. When the pot stirring is about a product such as a boat or engine its usually people that have a financial interest in the competetors product. Another reason is they think that the money they spent on their choice of product means its the best thing available and anyone that doesn't think the same is stupid. If you notice the majority of these people ONLY post about that product and will resort to insults and attacks on anyone that doesn't agree with them. And if this person wants to participate in a regular conversation they use another user ID. Otherwise known as a TROLL.
  12. Exactly....we can do without the trolls here and actually have some productive conversations. Ahem.......Glen and Kerno are here though I don't Glen has posted yet. oh yeah...... Menzies is here too.
  13. I'm sorry, this topic just isn't news worthy enough for me to read.
  14. LOL....of course I see something familiar. Funny part is that I was looking at the pics for a few mins before I noticed them because I was picturing myself behind the wheel. That boat is identical to mine. The only difference was that someone cut out the transom corner boxes on mine and I didn't have a T-top. I have some pictures but they are in regular film. I need to find a way to get them on disk.
  15. To avoid shattering the gel coat you need to counter sink the holes before you put the screws in.
  16. I hear you. But when the nurse and security guard came out to confirm the story the cop became an even bigger jerk. This could have been much worse. Lets say the guy stopped instantly when the cop turned his lights on. I can guarentee the cop would have had the entire family out of the truck and searched everything. And nobody would have gotten to say goodby. The cop is guilty of typical stereotyping. Big black guy in an expensive car at 1am so he must be a drug dealer. He isn't stopping so he must have guns and drugs in the car. It never once entered the cops mind that this guy had a real life or death emergency. Judgement, common sense and compassion. These are three things he needed to exersise and he showed none. His job is to "protect and serve" and he didn't do any of that either. These people are human beings with feelings that desperatly wanted to say goodby to a dying family member. The cop knew this and purposly took that from them. He deserves to be fired and not allowed to serve as a public offical ever again. I sure as hell wouldn't want this guy involved in any emergency I am a victim of.
  17. I thought it could be a sneaky way to advertise that he sells boat trailers. his username is boat trailers and the first sentence contained this..... "....i sell boat trailers on craigs list and post adds all over the place in all 50 states...." However....I am a person that gives people the benefit of the doubt. And his story doesn't surprise me because there are some real nut jobs out there.
  18. Yeah I thought it was pretty cool myself.
  19. riffraff.....Nice boat, I had the exact same boat but it was a 1976. I bought it as a bare hull and I built it up. It was a very good riding boat for its size. Yours must fly with the 200. I had a 150 and the boat hit 50 MPH.
  20. Thats what I was thinking. When I smash my boat into a wall I want that damn strut to still be mounted to whatever hunk of fiberglass is left.
  21. So you know who he is....lets have his email and phone number. Lets see how he likes getting calls from 30 people threatning to kick his but.
  22. Sorry....as far as I'm concerned that just isn't news worthy.
