  1. The weather is supposed to be perfect, I can't wait! Emanuel, I sent you a PM
  2. Heading over next week, anyone going besides Emanuel and I? Getting excited....hopefully the weather holds out.
  3. I just popped a woody.....the only thing missing is a built in lift. That is awsome, a boat garage.
  4. You guys probably won't believe this but I was one of the first to do this. In early 2002 I installed a small blue neon tube up in my radar arch and headed off to the Columbus Dar Ragatta which is a huge on water party. There is usually 3,000-5,000 boats that attend the 3 day event. Pretty much every boat is partying at night. I turned my blue neon on and cranked up the music. I was the only boat with such a light. Before we knew it we had hundreds of people flocking over to see what was going on. I had a sensor that made the light flash with the music, that along with the ladies dancing on the bow drew quite a crowd. The following year there were a bunch of boats with blue lights, and mor every year. Now I see it on almost every boat. Now its my business.
  5. I am just over 1200 hours and aside from a bad fuel injector and a broken cowl latch they have been great. I did have some stalling issues during my initial use of E-10 but it went away after the first tank of fuel. The E-10 was also thought to be the cause of the failed injector. Warranty replaced the injector with no questions asked.
  6. Finally! Maybe now the idiots that mandated this crap will wake TFU and get rid of it.
  7. I have heard very good things about Intrepid. Then again you need about $200K just to get your feet wet. You get what you pay for I guess.
  8. I saw that coming as soon as I saw the first high speed pass. That boat has to much power, it was chine walking all over the place. Why he decided to cross that wake at full bore is beyond me. That boat was close to flipping over on flat glass water.
  9. Hey Tabman.......I'm having an issue with my Bennet tabs. My boat is a 1994 and this tab system is the only thing I haven't had to fix or replace. How can you treat your customers like this? How can you expect me to maintain something that never needs to be touched? Like someone said above......even my Rollie Sub needs attention every few years.
  10. Emanuel....you're funny bro. Dont you know my wife is a CPA with a masters and an MBA? I'm pretty sure she can answer your questions accuratly. I'll ask her what she thinks.
  11. Ok I know this isn't very important but I just have to comment on this new commercial from Pizza Hut. So they lead these people blind folded into a building to eat some pasta. After the blind folded people take a bite the crew asks where they think they are at. They answer "some fancy itilian resturant". Then the blind folds come off and they are actually in their own home. WOW!!! I can't believe I am in my own house eating this! Gimme a friggin break. I would know my house blind folded walking up the driveway just by the background noise. Then the sound of the front door and the temp and smell of the inside would seal the deal. Stupid advertising at its best......or worse?
  12. Thats true, but.......you know you can't buy a lift for the boat you have now, you need to buy a lift for your next boat. It would be a kicker if you built a 10,000 lbs lift for your boat then decided to get a new boat a couple of years later that required a 15,000 lift.
  13. Those lifts are a nice option when cash is tight. But they are not pretty. But if this is for the house we were talking about you can put it on the side out of sight. The city won't require a permit because its not a permenant structure. Its no different than floating another boat behind your house.
  14. I am amazed at how fast this little business has grown. Sometimes I will google my website name or user name and look at the results. I have been mentioned on a lot of forums. So far the feedback has been all good. I guess what people really like is the personal attention I give to every email. They probably also like not spending $2K for lights. Since this thread is about me I would like to thank all of you that took a chance with the little guy because without your support there would be no coastalnightlights. PS...I have been thinking about the trailer lights.
  15. Kid Rock "All Summer Long" is probably the best boating song ever. The whole song and video is about boating and partying on a sand bar with hot chicks. Check it out... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PhjvpGt4r44
  16. Cool photos. I was in one of those subs on a tour a long time ago. They look huge from the outside but inside its very cramped. I wouldn't want to spend more than a few days on one much less 6 months.
  17. That hydrofoil yak is cool. But it looks like it takes a lot of paddling to keep it flying. Plus I guess you can't slide that baby right up to the beach, her draft looks to be a couple of feet.
  18. Yup.....I hit the big 35 yesterday. I'm no longer in my early 30s. What did I do on my B-day? I worked my a$$ off.
  19. I was kinda looking over your way but I didn't see you. did you see us going out or coming back in? No pics though, 3 medium mahi cows isn't anything spectacular. If we had a real big bull or something I would have snapped it on the camera phone.
  20. Well we went fishing on Sunday. The marine weather forecast from NOAA was calling for SE winds 5-10 kts and seas at 2' or less. As usual they were way off, the seas were more like 3-4 with some nice 5-6' swells from time to time. But we didn't let that stop us. We managed to boat 3 nice size Mahi cows. No schools, we got them all by trolling in 300-600 feet. All three were loaners. Not a bad day at all. We landed at a very packed John Lloyd Park at about 1pm for lunch. Then we headed home at about 3:30 to clean the fish and the boat.
  21. John Lloyd today at noon and fishing Sunday followed by John Lloyd for lunch. The weather is beautiful. Wiley.....come find me, I only got Miller Lite. I hope thats ok. I did'y hear from you about what you want to I went with the usual.
