The Bilge is outta control.  Mods are also.

There's an understatement.  The mods (at least one of them) is making up rules as he goes along, and the collective IQ of The Bilge now stands at about 69.

Speaking of retreads, is PBR SquiddLobster still on here?  No offense, but this place looks kinda dead.  I don't even think the Dramamine was here last time I was online.  Maybe that's where the action is.

  2. Anyone catch the episode the other day on ShipShape TV. They introduced a product "SuperFlush" it was a back flushing system. Looks pretty interesting they put one on a Glasstream 360 SCX. I believe it was the same boat that was at the Miami Boat Show. Awesome looking boat.

John Greviskis was raving about the boat & the Super Flush system.

Just wanted to see if anyone saw it or if anyone has used that product. I asked this question on "TheHullTruth" and I'll I got was hate mail.

Just curious, but I looked at your thread on THT and didn't see any "hate mail". As others pointed out, ShipShape TV has become a glorified infomericial, not an unbiased DIY program. Do you really expect them to say anything negative about companies who purchase advertising on their show?
  3. WOW.

Has the internet world fallen asleep? Is the ReelBoating POST button broken?

I am working night and day on new ReelBoating features (even product discounts) but wondering if I'm spinning my wheels with the lack of participation here. I can't show off the Forum at the Miami Show with it this quiet here.

I'm not coming down on anyone but did I change something in the design etc that makes it difficult to make or reply to a post?

Perhaps I should have gone the nonsense, bashing, better then thou approach? It's more fun and active anyway ;)

Let me know if I need changes, additions or even subtractions to the ReelBoating site to increase participation.

Dang, a few months ago this place was really crankin. Is the boat biz that bad? Facebook taking all your time? Has everything already been discussed? Is the forum design too advanced?

    :rb-rules: ??

I dunno man, maybe you should sell this place. I happen to represent a group of investors who own a bunch of old anchors and wheels and stuff. Wanna trade? I'll owner finance the difference. popcorn.gif

Just messin' with you Wiley. Wanna buy me and endo a drink at the boat show?

  4. I am not a parents, but I recall a time when I was in my aunt's car and my cousin(brother and sister) were fighting. The brother was the one causing the problem, so he had to get out and walk home while we followed him in the car.. His lesson was learned while still being safe from the rapists that live on every street corner.

Putting them out of the car and then following them is EXACTLY what I was going to suggest she should have done. That would have made her point while protecting her daughters. Personally, there's no way in hell I'm leaving two young girls alone like that.

Was it criminal? No, but it was at a minimum a very stupid thing to do. I wonder what the mother would have been charged with if some psycho had watched her put those kids out of her car followed by his raping and murdering them?

  5. I've always been a big Skynyrd fan and named my 58 Hatt "Freebird" when I bought it about three years ago. Until that time, I had only been on the Hatteras owners forum for about a month (my first venture into boater forums) and used my first initial and real last name as my username. After being told that wasn't in my best interest, I changed my username to match that of my boat.

  6. Ummmmm, sounds like a fuel leak somewhere ?

Most of the "Wake Jumpers" just park 'em in the fall and then jump on them & start 'em in the spring.

NO Maintenance, no safety checks, no nothin', just go.....

The only time they bring 'em in to the shop is if they don't start.

Haven't you noticed that most boating and safety rules don't apply to them? :753_hammer_hitting_head:

    :2215_asleep:

    .

Keep in mind this was a rental. I can only assume they keep up the maintenance on their stuff.

  7. Now I've never owned one to know, but does the owner's manual say anything about raising the cowling before starting to inspect? :471_confused_face:
Nope, it doesn't... not on my WaveRaider anyway. Had to be a bad plug wire to make a spark to ignite the vapors, but I would think the dad would have had to do some serious cranking on that engine with the kill switch pulled to put that much fuel into the engine compartment. It'll all come out in the lawsuit.

  8. Gringo rosin up your bow and play your fiddle hard.

'Cos hells broke loose in Caicos and the devil deals the cards.

And if you win you get this shiny fiddle made of gold.

But if you lose, the devil gets your soul.

The devil opened up his case and he said: "I'll start this show."

And fire flew from his fingertips as he resined up his bow.

And he pulled the bow across his strings and it made an evil hiss.

Then a band of demons joined in and it sounded something like this.

When the devil finished, Gringo said: "Well you're pretty good ol' son.

"But if you'll sit down on the beach right there, and let me show you how its done."

Fire on the Panga, run boys, run.

The devil's in the house of the big bald one.

LaGringa in the kitchen, pickin' out dough.

    "Gringo, does your boat float?"

    "No, child, no."

The devil bowed his head because he knew that he'd been beat.

He laid that golden fiddle on the ground at Gringo's feet.

Gringo said: "Devil just come on back if you ever want to try again.

"I told you once, you son of a ######, I'm the best that's ever been."

  9. oh, yes....there is a fiddling forum, too..

The devil went down to Caicos, he was looking for a soul to steal.

He was in a bind 'cos he was way behind: he was willin' to make a deal.

When he came across this bald man sawin' on a fiddle and playin' it hot.

And the devil jumped upon a cypress stump and said: "Boy let me tell you what:

"I bet you didn't know it, but I'm a fiddle player too.

"And if you'd care to take a dare, I'll make a bet with you.

"Now you play a pretty good fiddle, boy, but give the devil his due:

"I bet a fiddle of gold against your soul, 'cos I think I'm better than you."

The boy said: "My name's Gringo and it might be a sin,

"But I'll take your bet, your gonna regret, 'cos I'm the best that's ever been."
