  1. Multiple ways to do this come to mind. Trying to covey it could get wordy or be unclear. 1. Use a two 2x12x12's to span the width. Put them side by side. Attach your 24" side ledger boards to the back one and to your legs. Simple and heavy duty. 2. Use two 1x12x12, same as in #1. Cut two or three 1x3x the depth of the shelf minus the 2x4 back ledger. Attach them under the shelves, spaced evenly, to tie them together (Keep them flush with each other). These will not be near as strong as the 2x12x12 therefore a 1x3x12 could be used on the front edge of the outer shelf vertically as an apron to give it more strength. Use 1 5/8" drywall screws to attach them together. You can get course threaded screws also. 3. If there will be multiple shelves, a vertical 1x3x? could be run vertically, attached to the front edge of the shelves, and extended to the ceiling. Attachment at the ceiling could be tricky depending what is there, where the framing is. Solid anchoring there would be needed to cary the load. #1 would be quick and take a lot of abuse. I take it rough framing is OK? Good luck.
  2. That is so true...........hey wait a minute,.........I'm the boss. Is that why they never let me do anything? I think I'll go fishing now.
  3. DJ or anyone else, How the heck can ear buds be worth $350.00!!?? Even 200 or 100. Holy smokes!!
  4. Anyone have their boat stolen lately? I say turn the would be thief over to the boat owner so the owner can take him "fishing"
  5. News is news, good or bad. I do not believe anyone wishes anything bad on those that stand out in a crowd. Nothing wrong with photographing the beautiful, the awesome, the strange, the leaps forward and the setbacks. Everything is a classroom. Those that pay attention will learn, those that don't could repeat others failures if they chose to venture down the same or similar paths. The most successful people have the bloodiest knees. They just keep getting back up and stay in the game. I wish them all the success in the world. Then there are those that are just plain entertainment. Jeff
  6. Did not think ear buds could be used for or made for "Noise Reduction". No battery? Much smaller to carry, pack away for sure. http://www.amazon.com/s/?ie=UTF8&keywords=shure+e2c+headphones&tag=googhydr-20&index=aps&hvadid=3299028211&ref=pd_sl_2h6rb8ziun_e
  7. Do you have a pair? The difference may be so small only a trained ear may be able to hear a difference. 16. Is there a web site to see repos that are available without having to pay for a list? Jeff
  17. Thanks Rick, lots of good info there. In the last pic, maybe it was done just for the photo but I see experienced anglers do this all the time and I instruct the people that I take, "Please DO NOT hook the lure on the rods eyelet, hook it on the base or legs of the eyelet to prevent the barb on the hook from nicking or damaging the eyelet. When a cast is made, the line, especially on spinning rods, rotate around / through the guides at a high rate of speed and any nick in the guide could damage the line in multiple places on the cast. We all know how much weaker mono, fluro, etc becomes when it is damaged. Some will blame it on the line manufacture when in fact it is good line to start with. Braid is a different story as we all know but why damage the guide in the first place? Thanks again, Jeff
