Here's the problem - The definition of "valid reference" or "facts" is far too variable, seemingly more so everyday. There are plenty of other places to bash on each other over politics or whatnot, even other boating forums as we all know. I see no reason at all why this site shouldn't just flat ban political debate and/or politically motivated jabs and let those who wish to engage in that (myself included) do so elsewhere. Keep this one focused on what we all enjoy - Boats, boating and the boating lifestyle.

I got away with not doing anything about it for years too. That said, it only takes one small seal failure for disaster to strike in a big expensive way. Whether you go with an off the shelf transom saver or a 2x4, it's cheap insurance.

Good to see you again Lester! Yep - FJ showed up briefly a day or two ago.

Sheila got me the 7424 last year. Good buffer, nice solid construction, works well on the boat. A little on the heavy side but that's the flip side of the solid build quality. I like that the side handle is removable or reversible and the adjustable speed. Both options come in handy at times.

Not worried at all - Just some folks know me under a different moniker from over there. As far as how it's typed goes, I just like to do that when refering to THT on a non-THT site.
