  1. We have twin 250 E-tecs and the starboard engine keeps shutting down when you go above 4k rpms. Now, the thing is you can run over 4k for about 2 minutes, or 30 seconds, depending on when the engine's sensor kicks you down. It is reading that the engine is overheating. Has anyone had this problem, or know why it would be overheating only above 4k?

    i know the person who owns the motors and he told me it was a grommet in the pickup that was collapsing and would not let enough water in at high speeds
