why only on long trips ? you could be in trouble a mile from home ?

I have added a life raft and a EPIRB this year .

What are your favorite places on the Chesapeake bay to go to ? I am in the lower bay but have been up and down the bay always looking for new places to go to .

As long as you can get at the bolts you can just remove the engine , but it maybe easier just to remove it all . what make model trans/v-dive do you have ?

Over there all boats are junk unless you pay for a name you wont see bashing like that anywhere else. and its on boats the have never been on . some of them properly never owned a boat just talk the talk . Now why is that boat not at home yet ?

I would think reel boating would be the better of the 2 But they are only a name and Joe boater would be fine . If you want people to think its not just about fishing , then get rid of the marlin .

will Sea tow go 40 miles off shore ? And will your VHF reach them ? Max range in apox 25 miles and thats with a very tall antenna .

Thats a poor question because some make better Radar or Gps etc . but here it is Radar Furuno hands down. GPS nothing better then Garmin .

You can get a PLB for 300 bucks now , a good thing to have even if you don't go far out. a hand held has a short range at water level so may not be heard. lets hope somehow there ok.

I got one myself looks like a nice unit. I just hope no one here ever finds out how it works.
