    Have you looked at Albury Bros?

    Yes. They are well built. They are plain but pricey. As I recall, they are pretty flat aft.. Am I correct on that ? (Variable Deadrise to flat aft..) I will have to look them up.. Thanks.

    Excellent build quality, solid, and as far as a 23 goes, best ride I have experienced in 2-3's between 20-35mph...even better than my 23 Regulator and Contender. The entry of the bow is extremely sharp, cuts through the water like a hot knife through butter, and the spray rails keep you very dry. Very forgiving ride, soft re-entry everytime, no shudder..simply made for a lifetime with out all the fancy and exposed hardware that eventually fails. Price is not inexpensive, but is less than two said boats mentioned above, as well as GW, BW, EW, EG, and other quality makes..Jeff

    jass how you know that quality is better than the deep impact actually build now days??

    Have pics of the DI from the last KW run taken from the NorTech. I looked at a DI extensively when I was going through my change, do I want another sport boat, or go to a fast and fishable CC. I've looked at them since 08..wanted to buy in 09...a more fishy version, along with a 36YF, and 41 Bahama at the show, this was before I found out about the NT. The quality is good on the DI, but not the same as a NT or even Bahama, which I consider to be an excellent built boat as well.. The way it planes out with one of the salesmen on board, not mentioning names, is totally different than the NT...there is more of a plowing effect, bow down till up to speed. The ride to 50mph is way different, doesnt carry the nose as well, definatly heavy.... Fuel economy is not the same, and its 3' shorter, and doesnt feel as wide. Doesnt keep plane at 10mph, and when hitting large type waves on that run..and it was rough the whole way there with copter above us all..I didnt see any rub rails come undone, or coaming pads pop off the NorTech.. Im just stating a fact, and they have a place in this marketplace as well..How well they will do over time will tell..I guess you need to find some of their customers that have ridden on both boats...preferably same poker runs, same seas, to see what Im takling about.     300 gallons of fuel? Pretty much explains why this is a coastal cruiser and not a great fishing boat.

    Ive run this model, and at 52-55mph we were averaging 1.5mpg,.. Nortech also has an available second tank holding close to 500 gallons.

    500 should be standard on a boat this size with triples. I get around the same fuel efficiency and there are times I wish I held more than 420 gallons. Boat looks nice, would make a great tender to a large yacht. I feel like it falls into the Deep Impact market more so than the hardcore fish boat market.

    They sold 3 at the show..plus the gray show boat..must be doing somthing right. If I can swing it come Miami I will be building a Hardcore fish model, but till then, unless someone steps up to the plate they dont see a need to change what's selling...reason told, being set up best of both worlds.. As to the Deep Impact market..No Way, quality is much better, no bow rise on take off, flys level, has more interior cockpit space and just looks better..plus they hold their resale..does 73 with trip 300's. and 78 with trip 350 Yammies. Thats where Im uncertain in which way to go.. Merc or Yammies... I like the controls and Smartcraft, along with the throttles, reminds me of my 43NT still sporty, but want everything around the helm set up for hardcore fishing..

  9. THE NEW 39 NORTECH OPEN

    This weekend I had the opportunity to check out and drive the new open bow 39 CC version, vs the cuddy version that I saw at the plant. Man what a boat.. very impressive to say the least. What I really liked on this boat was the good use of room, and storage. The retractable bow anchor was very cool, as well as the large sunpad. The head compartment was under the dash section that housed a flushable toilet, sink, and a large enough bed for 2 underneath the sunpad section...Sandy really liked this area for overnighting at the islands. There was also a retractable cooler that slid back behind the helm seating area as well as a pull out retractable stern seat that 4 people could easily sit on. Now the business end....THE DASH and HARDTOP...Georgeous, sexy and well laid out. It housed 2 of the latest 6212 Garmins, one to the starboard had all the gauges, and the port was the touch screen gps. Smartcraft was also a nice touch. I grabbed the 3 Livorsy throttles and eased up slowly...almost no bow rise and we were on plane effertlessly and quick. Actually the boat planed at 10mph..I took a pic of this showing the gps, the motors running and where the water was in relationship to the side of the hull, cause I couldnt believe it..The water was a 6" chop, first time all year. I was wishing for 2 to 3's...but we hit 73mph with the Merc 300's.. I have had many boats over the years, but none have turned me on as much as this one did. It is the best of both worlds, with over 20 rod holders, and enough room that 10 people on board everyone had somewhere to sit. This will be my next boat vs go fast version. Look for this boat at Ft Laud and Miami..

    For Sale:....20 ft.Mckee Craft (The unsinkable) hull restored to like new condition....New Custom built Trailer w/ tandem axle and surge brakes....This is a bare hull with a new Center Console (no holes or cutouts) and a new custom made aluminum fuel tank mounted under and in front of the console....Tank capacity is 50-65 gal at least....I was going to rig it myself but alas don't have the time.....Hull needs 115-175 hp and steering rigged....Light wiring is in hull....You can customize this craft to your specifications....The aft floor behind the CC is 4ft10in wide and 9ft long....there is a 26in freeboard inside....The console is 50 inches high with 13 inches of floor space on each side for easy access to the forward where there is a large insulated box with a 3ft by 5ft casting deck....Have a large windshield and bow sprite for the anchor....     Now that WC owns GB.. what is the difference in quality.. Did anything change in some of the tooling on the GB..meaning have the boats gone over a big redesign..small bottom changes or blueprinting..stuff like that or are they the same with WC behind them.. I understand that one is a semi and the other a displacement.. but what gives.. Thanks Guys.. Jeff

    Will Do. You make the best salmon I have ever eaten. Thanks. The guide that bought the 33 wants two 27 boats. They should get the hard order tomorrow. You will have to figure out witch one of those three lifts you will use.

    Scott(Steve's son) and I will be leaving Florida at 3 am Sunday. I will call you Sunday at 4 am..lol Just kidding.We can't stop on the way there. I have a delivery time in New Orleans. I have the boat dimensions and will check the lift on the way back. :)

The weight dry on the Albury was 3000 with out motors, so Im guessing that will be close..BTW it's 5am and Im up ..LOL

    here is a side shot..about 4' in front of the boat before it hits platform to the floating dock. Id love to have one space filled bu winter and the other by summer for offshore if this oil situation is resolved and they open the bay up again..right now the only water open is the river and parts of the back bay..sucks..but its realty..

    that pic was taken right after a small hurricane we had.blew one side of the roof off..side curtains protected the boats from debris...

    Thanks for the compliments. The seas were actually worse then the video let on, with the storms. It was a true sloppy 3-4. The boat was nothing short of awesome and the motors I believe are going to be great sellers for a ton of boat companies. I am still in the breaking in process and still learning how to drive it. The video was also take with out trim tabs. In all honesty the boat does not need them. I will try to get some better video in the weeks to come. The rain cut this one short.

    cool..it looked sloppy..reminds me of the gulf water we have..solid 3's.. Enjoy your ride, she is sweet..
