  1. This 39 NorTech was powered with Yamaha 350's, dive door, and a few different features. Im really liking the white or a very light, light, blue or solid color.
  2. It's my understanding that Americat will be producing a 20' single cat as well..
  3. a good used 150-225hp 30" shaft for my 87 McKee Craft that Im bringing back to life. A great winter project with the kids before they go off to colledge.
  4. Bob, You could have conducted yourself in a more professional manor. The red circling of "what is this", like you finally uncovered a major fault with a NorTech boat. It's a flip out piece of upohlstry...not wiring, cabinets, or even superb rigging like you stated....and Terry said it was a bad camera angle. You are correct, NorTech builds an excellent boat, and have many different types of clientelle. They will build what ever the customer wants, from simple and functional to over the top... and do it at a very fair price. At the moment they have a 6 month back log, they must be doing something right. Have a good evening. Jeff For the record, I wash my boats, cars and trucks when I can if not working 60 hours a week..I do get help from time to time, cause I know I cant do it all. I also like to change my own oil, or polish my headers while my wife fish's on our pier over a few Beer Bloody Mary's on a Sunday morning.. I never take things for granted, and am thankful for what I have.
  5. Exactly. But the perception would be, if you can't get a 10" seat step right, that's in plain view, what else is not right that you can't see? Again, I mean no negativity towards the boat, it's just a marketing and perception issue. But statistically more people buy Bayliners than Nor-Techs. Most people don't know what they are looking at with boats anyway. Again, I'm not criticizing your boat, just that photo Beautiful boat Cracker Larry, Terry didn't start the thread. I started the thread and took the pic's off another site to simply share over here. There was no way for him to cull it like you stated. Like Terry mentioned it is a poor camera angle and you can see that in the other pic that Terry included shows it flipped over and in align. The only reason for the negativity is cause SeaBob has a problem with me busting his chops on a comment that he made on another site, then was answered, but that wasn't good enough that he had to bring it up again on a different NorTech boat over here. Quote SeaBob..Still don't see a half of a Bonita, blood everywhere, owner totally concious of all that blood on the decks and upholstery...and an owner/captain that's gonna jump on that chit fast and get rid of it.... Nice boat, I'll pass.. another unprofessional comment from a supposed professional in the same business that is knocking an owner for keeping his boat clean while fishing...WTH
  6. Happy New Year to Ya'll....and lets hope it will be a prosporous one at that. We did a Golf Cart Poker Run, 5 sealed card stops at peoples homes, it was safe, fun, with great food, and a lot of laughs..
  7. SeaBob4, you are seeing the deployment as it was rotating underneath of the automated wet/dry vac that not only cleans the cockpit floor but has the abilty to clean the seats in case.... (quote SeaBob4)a bonita on board has been bitten in half by a cuda...this way you have more time fish. On a serious note, I dont have a clue what that it is. I remember seeing a different pic of that section finished on a different website.. Terry Sobo when he gets back from Vacation will reply once I send him a copy of this thread. Have a good New Year. Jeff
  8. I got coal..again...at least I have something to heat my house with ... Ya'll have a blessed Holiday as well with family and friends.. JJ
  9. this is a good point, all we have to really go by is what happened in Alaska..and its 20 years later.. I video BayStLouis, and Pass Christian today and then went out to Cat Island, 6 miles out, tar balls every where..pisses me off...Ill just stick north of I-10 by the house and fish from there or off my dock..
  10. This was taken as a quote from another site. BTW iam involve in the DI factory and been there for the last 2 years.
  11. hose it off like any other boat, they fish just fine...if need more room lose the bow seating up front. Im looking at some type of retractabe seating up front by the bow, that will close up against the gunnels.
  12. OuterLimits, Mike Fiore does this also on a few or at least his 42 version that I have seen, and been on. Forces air right before the step, air-rates bottom and supposedely adds speed. All their boats are fast and stable..one of the finest in the industry. Jeff
  13. . This boat was delivered last weekend with some new optional features. This buyer wanted a second row of bolsters and for that row to also be protected from the sun. Nor-Tech enlarged the top by 2 feet going aft and 6" on either side. Among other items there's a dive door, bow thruster and a few refinements to the existing cockpit. ENJOY GUYS....
  14. I live where the spill happened, and we fish every weekend. I have yet to find a fish that looks like that. Not to say it has not happened. Every beach from Bay St.Louis, Pass Christian, Long Beach, Gulf Port, Biloxi, and further out island's..Cat, Ship, Horn Island all do have TAR BALLS. It sucks, but it is what it is. I know BP is doing the best that they can,(no I have not received a dime from BP) it helps that everyone works together to get the problem resolved over the next 10-20 years. Ive been fishing primarily north of the I-10 system. its not as fun, but beats sitting at home being pissed off.
  15. How many hours you guys get off those motors Those were 700's. 502 with a blower. turning around 4.5 pounds of boost..very underrated. approx 350-400 hours and then a top side rebuild. Best boat Ive owned, idled at 700 rpms, no hic ups, and topped out at 93mph. You could put 8 people on board and still do a boring 90mph. Boat was long 45' and heavy 13500. and took a big wave. 3-4's at 60 was no problem, extremely smooth, and soft landing everytime..If you stayed at 60, about 3800 rpms you would ave. 1.57mpg..Cabin was awesome, all the comforts at home incl. genset, 6'2" headroom and full head w/shower.but,no rod holders Wiley is taking care of that now..
  16. This came off another site that I frequent. Terry Sobo from NorTech called me a few times during the show and was pleased on the attendance of serious buyers. The 39 and their 80 was a hit...Im looking at the 39 CC at Miami..Im kinda over the powerboat thing, and trip 350's will be 80+..fast enough for me. http://www.offshoreonly.com/forums/general-boating-discussion/242592-nor-tech-80-sparks-sales-lauderdale-show.html
  17. Its a lot of fun, comraderie, knowing that your going to catch up with friends that you see once or twice a year for a few days and go over good times. The girls go shopping and the guys check out the hotties at the bar.... Even The long run from Miami to KW is just a blast, especially running with other boats..lunch stops are fun, and everyone gets along...no different than a fishing tourny after done and we go to the banquet...its all what you make of it, and how you act..these guys are no different than ya'll, just the price of the boats and maint. are unfortunatly twice as much...that part sucks, but ya gotta pay for speed.. Bottom line, Being on the water in any boat is better than staying home.
  18. just show up during business hours...thats how I bought my first NorTech in 04, got a 1 hour tour of the facility..from fiberglass, to interiors being made, to rigging, engine development, and then paint. The Norwegians Trond, and Nils, were easy to deal with, straight forward, and you could tell they took pride in their boats. I bought 6 mos later. This was very different when I was at DI. Arrogant, I felt like I was getting worked over by some rude Greek guy..very pushy. Even one of the mechanics, or someone involved with the co was a complete jack azz, he put down evey brand, including NT, and told me that they dont have the funds to put that 39CC together, and our boats are the real deal...and I must have heard from the drunk/high guy that he was one of the owners at least 25 times. Once I questioned who designed their 36cc bottom, thats when the problems started...why I was questioning that. I walked out of there actually pissed. I did finally get a call back from a very nice salesmen.. Karl, who told me what was going on there, and the one owner is no longer there, something like that.. Regardless, I would never do business there, and will be looking at the 39 NT, 39 SV, and or 37 and 41 Bahama at the Miami show. believe me they are doing great even have a great salesman in tim he sold 4 DI at the FTL show the product is not the same as before those boys have done alot of progress i love there boat. Are you the owner, as well as the same guy on THT going by the name of BEST. I know Tim Gallager.
  19. Yeah a few things here I didn't think of, like charging the DC batteries when the genset is running. Anybody else? BLENDERS, DAQUERRI MACHINES,
  20. I could not afford it. .I guess Ill add that to Wileys list of things to get done
