  2. Hi: Name is Oscar, live in Mobile, Alabama but fish out of Dauphin Island. I run a 31 Contender Fisharound, Twin F225s. We target any fish Snapper Grouper, Mahi. What ever is willing to bite on that perticular day. However just being on the ocean is a great day for me, regardless of the fish biting or not. If anyone fishes out of this area, give me hollar on 38 Big O
  3. Racor- Bar none, if you look at the cost verses the protection and the ability to prevent a more serious motor problem the cost of the Racors are cheap. In my opinion Before I leave the dock, I take a quick glance at them, I have 3 of them one for each motor and one for the Gen set. I have put them on every boat I have ever owned. Big O
  4. What I do is as I am coming back into the marina, I have about a 10-12 min no wake zone, my crew will get all the rods down and place them on the aft and wash them down, with my on board fresh water, after that they begin working forward towards aft, when we get to the marine they hook up to the water there, finish cleaning the boat, then top off the fresh water tank at the end. This way the water in the tank stays fresh and we are ahead of the game by the time we reach the dock. My tank is either 15 or 20 gal, but you would be surprised as to how far that goes. Big O
  5. On my last outing, the Hatch Arm raising latch broke, the original one was a bomar type, with a knob to tighten, or loosen the arm so that it would lower and raise. I am thinking about going back with a phnumatic type and was wondering if any other 31 fisharounds owners had replaced this part?
