Has anyone bought a Carver boat cover? If so, how do you like it and how does it fit?

Glad they caught them. Its a shame there are people doing crap like that, and it appears that the number is growing. I worry for our children and grandchildren about the alarming rate of moral decay in our country. Hope we can turn it around.
Put the bad guys on a remote island in the Pacific with the clothes on their back and a pocket full of beans and let them rob from one another. Then the tax payers don't have to house them. They can grow their own beans or eat one another I don't care.

Good looking job. Let us know how it runs

I just converted my the drum brakes on my twin axle trailer to Kodiak discs. Huge improvement. I still can't believe how much better they stop the trailer. I do have a question though. I replaced all four hubs as well since the old ones were about 3 years old and getting pretty rusty. The shop that did the work removed my buddy bearings and replaced them with a sealed caps. They claim that sealed is a better way to go: 1) because many customers end up blowing out the seals by putting too much grease in, and 2) with the buddy bearings you tend to accumulate old grease and you're actually better off just pulling the hub once a year and repacking the bearings with fresh grease.
Is this BS? I trailer my boat every time I launch it and take at least 2 long (4 - 5 hour) trips per year. I'm pretty meticulous about keeping the hubs greased up and am comfortable doing so without blowing out seals. I'm really worried that with the totally sealed caps, I'll end up burning out a hub due to insufficient grease. Can I really wait a year before repacking?
ChrisF, who in the Tampa area did your brake job?

Coast Guard Aux. playing Coast Guard at the boat ramp. They leave their boats tied to docks and block two or more ramps, then they go inside the building most of the day.

I will make them available again if enough people request.
We need more people to request this and maybe we can get a deal on some packets.

I think transom tie-downs are a hassle. I don't use them anymore. They don't hold the boat to the trailer. They hold the trailer to the boat. In the event of a serious accident they aren't strong enough to hold the trailer to the boat. They will snap and only the bow will be connected to the trailer. I think small boats should definitely use them, but they don't seem necessary to me on a boat over 2000 pounds. Just my personal opinion. I'm not even sure if it is legal to tow without them.
I think they help. I don't leave home without them.

Purchased at the West Palm Boat show in March - yes March. Dealer has been telling me that it is delayed due to production schedules, reduced work weeks, etc.. Let's hope that all goes well tomorrow! I will post notes and pictures of the delivery. Wish me luck!!
Steve185 tell us what you got. Congrates!

I was pulling a skier on lake Tarpon in early 70's and my elbow hit the reverse button. It jumped in reverse wot but didn't hurt anything.

Bad site for me to be on.
I'M AN OLD GUY!
Frank Caccatori, CACCI CRAFT, built in Tampa.
Terrific guy!
Great sence of humor, alot of fun.
Never did any business with him, we were, during the sixties, competitors, but hung out togeather at boat shows and the like. Drank a beer or three togeather.

Frank had his business on Fowler Ave I think. I would go there for parts. Frank was a super guy.

My first was a 1968, 16', Larson with a 55 hp Evinrude. The engine had a push button shift like an old dodge.
My 50 hp also was push button.
