Skeeter has definately come a long way. Friend of mine used to run an 08 ZX22 and that thing rode out.
20 degree deadrise hull was a big factor in my decision. Going to run Ky/Barkley Lakes, which are notoriously rough.

Great photos! Skeeter is a very underrated bayboat! I just bought a 2010 ZX22v and did so only after considering most, if not all, of the major (and some not so major) brands. The quality of their bayboats is much higher than people realize, or expect. Anyone looking for a quality bayboat needs to give Skeeter a close look.

My brother and new sister in law are flying into St. Martin tomorrow morning and would like to get out off shore fishing a day or two. I am looking to see if anyone has fished down there and had a good boat to recommend. They want to have just the two of them out there along with the Capt. and mate. Also he does not want to pay for a large charter boat maybe in the 25-30' range.
I appreciate any suggestions that you can make and I will get the info to him if he does not read it on here himself first.
Wiley I know this should be in the sport fishing section but this one gets a lot more action.
Can't remember the charter's name, but we fished there a few years ago. They used a 31 Bertram, and did a good job. Worked hard, caught some nice mahi-mahi.

Another "old" guy -- my first boat was a late 60s 13' Boston Whaler my father purchased for me and my brothers. Came with a 40 hp Evinrude, which we replaced a couple of years later with the "new" 80hp 4 cylinder Mercury. That was a tremendous motor--ran for years w/o any problems at all. Tough boat, we ran the heck out of it and it took everything we gave it. I still love BWs today although I'll probably never be able to buy the one I'd like to own.
