  1. Sounds to me like your props are entirely wrong--see a prop expert or good marine mechanic That 350 mag is 300 hp and should turn closer to the 5200 rpm range if I remember right; or at least high 4000's Maybe on of the props has a spun hub? You shouldnt need a repower and Sea Ray is not in the habit of building underpowered boats. Your local dealers should be able to help you.
  2. Do a search for Marysville Marine in Michigan--I think you'll find they will be able to help you
  3. I hope you have been told that you need a permit to tow it---anything over 8' 6" must be permitted and the state DOT's have been getting more particular about this yearly
  4. Wow, thought you were talking the group there for a minute and I would have had a fit---but the team? Only the Browns matter after all right?
  5. 1973 Crest 25 pontoon with a merc 50--what a rocket she was!! With two 6 gallon tanks we could cruise all day. Next was an Alvin Roof special, 1980 Galaxy 21 cuddy with a Volvo 140 I/O--all forward please until we get her on plane. Nice to see MFG mentioned--good old Ohio boat!! Agree with Mike, making my brain hurt also.
  6. Ok, Mike, Prolines are great boats I agree; but if he likes the 23 Striper, he could do a lot worse; and the Striper has one of the best riding hulls in its class, as I'm sure you would agree. Remember that hull was designed for the west coast heavy Pacific surf, high bow and lots of sharp entry---good choice and fairly priced
  7. Blow the Man Down by Arthur Godfrey I have it on 78 if you would like to borrow it!!
  8. In the pool itself, all the way to bottom on each side of the dive board; which, by the way is not in use anymore due to impact effect
  9. Rude pain in the butt who went by many names on tht; blacktooth, hook snook, too many to list, but as I said, his mode of operation is always the same; and he always has a two word screen name
  10. And now we have a virus on this site; welcome hook snook, blacktooth, dirty dog etc etc etc etc---your gibberish is unmistakable
  11. You said it!! And the walleye and perch are hot right now
  12. Thanks, am sort of in process with people looking at it right now. The cracks were caused by the clay soil falling away during the dry part of August and people using the diving board a little to enthusiastically. I believe they have now widened and deepened as much as they every will and it's time for a better fix than high grade caulk---just trying to figure what that fix is. Anyone ever heard of a company called Sani-tred out of Indiana? So far they sound like they have the cure if all they present online and via phone can be verified.
  13. Need some input as to how to patch large 1" wide cracks in an older concrete, gunite, swimming pool. Have used butyl caulk like vulkem in the past, but only get a few years out of that patch. Any ideas any of you can share that have had similar experience? Any new materials you can recommend?
  14. Know you're still building this---but don't forget us please--we're here now!! Erie Skipper
