  1. I tried contacting the Amish guys but never got a reply so I ended up ging with another one. I forget the brand right now. But I was told a 4 footer would be fine for my 25' cat. That was wrong. It barely turned me at all. I wanted it to keep the bow into the chop to eliminate snap roll. It basically did nothing at all for me. If a 4 footer is good for you. I have one that I am willing to part with. I used it only twice. PM me and I will get the brand and figure out a price.
  2. That's exactly what this thread is all about, the challenge. It is not designed to make us any money. It is just an excerise is pooling resources to see what we can do with the project IF we wanted to, as a group. Although it would seem as this little thread has faded into oblivion.
  3. It is quote distracting. However, one always needs certain distractions in life. I pick her as my designated distraction any time. If Tiger doesn't want her, I will happily take over where he left off.
  4. I have twin Honda 150's. 2006 models with only a few hundred hours on them but I hd been talking to the local coasties who have several thousand on the same Honda 150's on their RIB. He says regular mainenance and they run strong as the day they were new.
  5. having no teeth... Makes for a.......
  6. Thank you and the same is wished from me to you and yours. I hope everyone has a safe and happy holiday season no matter what your particullar holiday may be.
  7. I would think the only way they will salvage the boat is if there is insurance investigateing it but I think I read they did not have insurance or soemthing like that.
  8. Unicorn crestfish Not many choices for U. It was either that or the Upside down catfish.
  9. Here are the pictures of the boat as she rests. Incredible amount of damage done. I have no ideas on what really happened but I can only think she was cruising along at a good clip and came up from a trough, stuffed the bow into the next wave and caught the bouy on the way up tearing the bow off then the rush of incoming water just blew this boat apart. I am no boat engineer but how else could this amount of damage be caused from a bouy that size? http://www.yachtforums.com/forums/general-yachting-discussion/12624-yachtforums-exclusive-underwater-pictures-sunken-bertram-630-a.html
  10. I just grabbed this from another forum I go on to. I never valet and this is exactly why..... http://www.cnn.com/video/#/video/offbeat/2009/12/16/moos.maniac.valet.parking.cnn
  11. sounds like a good idea. Options are good. Would be nice ot be able to do a quick localized search for similar boats or others in a certain area.
  12. What?! My great long lost uncle Aalim is dying? it makes me sad to see he forgot me in his will. After all those Christmas gatherings and birthdays we shared together. Well, maybe if you can see it in your heart to share a couple of million with one of his forgotten relatives, you can send some cash my when when the check clears. I promise I will give some of it to my favorite charity sicn ei know that's what he would want.
  13. I have been looking at some spy cameras but none seem to really fit the environment. There are a few that are close though. My problem is they need to hidden to get full room views in rooms where the person who I don't want to see them, knows everything that should or should not be in that room. A sudden appearance of a new item will be out of place. Not many places to hide them. I have one that can go in the heating return duct but will need to have the receiver wired, hiding the receiver is the problem. I guess there may be no cut and dry easy way to do this.
  14. If you don't mind, take a look at this set-up.... http://www.security-depot.com/index.cfm/fa/items.main/parentcat/13274/subcatid/0/id/355911 Am I understanding it rioght? It can use batteries for two days or plug in for unlimited on time. Records into its own memory to be played back on any tv and will turn on automatically via motion detector. If that is all true, thatis probably what I need. The housing may be a little big but I am wondering if I can remove the guts and hide it better without the outer shell. Any thoughts guys?
  15. Thanks for the links. Unfortuantly these will be used for monitoring in the house for, let's say "inapropriate activity" when I am not around.
  16. I have had the Bose for a few years and they are great. Had some issues with them a few times but Bose was great and replaced them each time.
  17. I will definitly be there for the indoor show.
  18. I know this has been discussed many times out there but it's hard to weed through all the threads to find info. Besides, we need some new posts on this forum! Here is what I need. I need to install some very small, self contained hidden cameras for in home survailance. I looked at nannycams but they have no designs that will work in my house. I could buy one and take it apart but that's probably not the best option. The limited places I have to hide them means I will need some that are self powered and do not need external source for recording. A/C ducts, front door sill, etc.. They also need to be motion activated. In a couple of spots I can use one that can be plugged in but the camera itself needs to be very small to hide. I have room to hide the recording device. But the two others I want, there is no way to run a power cord. So, here is what I need; -2 small, motion activated, self contained camaeras, battery operated. Tiny is the key. -1 or 2 small, motion activated, preffer self contained for recording but not required, can be plugged in to the wall and can have remote recording. *All will be indoors. One in a not heated garage. It maybe gets to freezing in there. smaller is better and low light capable is a big plus. any help will be greatly appreciated as time is short. Will need to make a deceision ASAP. Any spy types out there, your info would be very useful. Oh yeah, inexpensive is key here but they still need to work. Can't spend a grand per camera but can do a hundred or more per.
  19. Sure would. I have suntan lotion stains on the armrests of my captains chair. Whatcha got to remedy that is not too rough on the material and stitching?
