  1. i think its a great idea, from posting small modifications or upgrades to a complete refit. i think a lot of people would enjoy that. same goes for successful fishing trips - pictures and how, where, and when you caught... and hopefully the participation goes up.... its been kind of weak lately it seems...
  2. yeah, one of my good customers just moved in to the big new blue house down the street, neighbors are a bit uptight
  3. pretty sweet, you can also click on the header "shoutbox" to make it full screen.
  4. yeah, it could be considered a little reduntant, but i figured for trivial things that arent worth posting for everytone to read it might be nice.. i just thought of it because i use it alot on FB with some friends of mine in addition to posting... for example, rather than have a PM conversation drag on for days you could talk instantly with online members.
  5. actully the numbers were on that site QUADZEUS.COM SPECS: • Length Overall: 60’ • Beam: 19’ • Draft: 4’6” • Displacement: 72,000 lbs. • Fuel Capacity 1,280 gallons • Propulsion: 4 x CMD QSC8.3-600-hp engines with Zeus 3000 pods PERFORMANCE DATA: WOT RPM: 3020 | SPEED (knots): 37.2 | GPH: 131 | % LOAD: 98 | RANGE (nm): 327 PERFORMANCE DATA: CRUISE RPM: 2700 | SPEED (knots): 33.3 | GPH: 91 | % LOAD: 79 | RANGE (nm): 420 PERFORMANCE DATA: RPM: 2200 | SPEED (knots): 25.5 | GPH: 61 | % LOAD: 51 | RANGE (nm): 484
  6. what might be cool is if there is a way to enable a chat with online members that your friends with similar to facebook chat which is becoming a big hit.
  7. i'd be curious to see the reaction of a nice blue marlin jumping out of the water and seeing that wrap!! anyone find pics of the engine room yet? i wonder what kind of performance was acheived.
  8. where is the rest of the pictures? also, i was curious, why did you take down your inletcam.com sign? thats actually how i found RB, everytime i went by your place someone on my boat would ask what that was so i think it works..
  9. yeah, post some more pics, what all are you planning on doing to it? in a couple months i'm going to help a friend take a 1966 34' hat and refit it. repowering with diesels, new electrical, new electronics, new paint etc.. i'll plan on making a thread on it.
  10. LOL, my superstition is that i cannot open a beer until the first fish is caught, in addition to no bananas on the boat
  11. awesome pic, where was it over the weekend? i went fishing sat and sun and it was gone...
  12. Blue, i work on boats in that range and greater for a living. most of the boats you've named have a sleek look to them but to be honest i personally cant say too much more positive about them. (keep in mind this is a personal opinon) when you look deeply into the plumbling, electrical, finishing work, design, etc. you'll likely be a little dissapointed. another problem is that the majority of the hardware and components on the boat can not be found here in the states (with the exception of Lazzara which is domestic) if i were to buy a cruising boat in that range, it would probably be a Hatteras
  13. very nice, similar to a cape horn it seems, i like it. what sizes do you make?
  14. Larry, is that one of your custom hulls in the pictures?
  15. it was on channel 3 and HD channel 434. apparently a friend of mine knows the QB for the "Miami Caliente" she's going to get us some tix for next "Friday Night Football" they play at BankAtlantic Center.
  16. so i just get home and start flipping through the channels and discover that there is a football game on with all hot chicks! full gear and everything. it looked like a joke at first, but after watching it, they hit each other pretty damn hard, there apparently is a team for every major city. the broadcast is was called Friday Night Football, this is absolutely spectacular.
  17. Contender offers a lifetime hull warranty right?
  18. Glendinnings Smart Actuator II works great with E-tec engines. the actuators themselves are very small and the installation is straight forward. the controls with the verados you ran into i believe are made by mercury themselves, a lot of engine companies are trying to make their own now. as far as outboards go, Suzuki, Honda, and i believe Evinrude still use third party.
  19. hey Bob, i'm pretty sure that was a 38 Fountain. its at my in/out storage so the scenery changes quite frequently, but there is a few of us that have our boats in the water almost every weekend, and that 38 is usually one of them
  20. in my experience, barnacles and mussels love PVC, i occasionally will still do PVC manifolds, but never any long runs with pvc pipe. a few of my customers have they're boats plumbed with PVC trunk lines thru the hole boat to supply their a/c units, its a nightmare! alot of captains are putting chlorine tablets (for pools) in their sea strainers to help eliminate the growth upstream and in the strainer bowls. - seems to help.
  21. there was a guy selling a sprayer for the end of your hose that was pretty cool, it looked more like a pressure washer wand than a shower head. not sure if thats what your talking about, i bought one, when i get to my office i'll get you the name. works pretty well
  22. this is a another sad reminder, i actually keep my boat at the same marina http://www.sun-sentinel.com/news/local/bre...0,4548660.story
