I have asked questions like this before on a similar site and was mildly(?)scourned for asking redundant and apparently
silly questions. I was also told I should have not bothered them and just searched archives instead. Hopefully, a few of you will not mind my ignorance and offer some advice.
I have seen a Hydra-Sports 23 foot Sea Horse, year 2000, with a 200hp Johnson outboard on it. I know the vector series is apparently their hardcore fishing machine, but I do not think I will need something that serious. I just plan to go in the James River and the Chesapeake Bay and maybe, only maybe, the early part of the ocean.I am not a hardcore fisherman, but I do love to go on decent days. I have been on friends boats in the bay quite a few times and realized that most of the time you can go out in flat conditions and come back in some rough stuff.
So I guess what I need to know is, how does the Sea Horse compare to other boats. I mean, is it more like a Proline, a Sea Hunt, a Cobia,or is it more of a lower tier boat. I know it is not built as strong as the vector, but is the quality of the boat good other than that? I also think that the deadrise is not as deep as the vector series, but not sure. And are there any other differences that I should be aware of?
If anybody has any experience with this boat and wouldn't mind sharing some info with me I would appreciate it.
