  1. Wiley man, have a great one dude!!!
  2. Woody Wax also supports Military Appreciation Day.
  3. TOTALLY AWESOME!!!! If you guys don't have it, buy the album "Earl Scruggs and Friends" bad to the bone.
  4. So Mike, did the mechanical gage verify that in fact there was "low" oil pressure?
  5. Petrel, if you follow the instructions at the link below, it will not "fuse." Yamaha F200/225 Maintenance Tips
  6. We have surpassed 100 letters sent!! Traffic on all of the NC forums is a little slow right now, but as boat season winds down and the kids start school, traffic will pick back up and we will HAMMER this topic. We must and we WILL. Thanks for the support and keep spreading the word!
  7. If you follow my maintenance tips, you will never need that tool.
  8. Gotcha Trey. I will check with the rental place here in town.
  9. Barry, it is too far. the pipes run about 100 feet down to a creek.
  10. What is that Trey and how does it work?
  11. I have two 4 inch corrugated drain pipes that go under my driveway (about 20 feet.) Neither pipe flows anymore. There were working fine up until my garage was built (I think.) It has only rained hard enough a few times for me to notice that the pipes are not flowing or are flowing very little. I can stick my water hose down in one of them only about 12 feet and it stops. The water hose comes back out clean, so I am not sure the pipe is collapsed, may just have trash in it. These pipes are connected to my gutter downspouts and two drain basins. Any ideas?
  12. Yes, very unlikely. Back in the day, on the farm, we would pour diesel fuel into the cylinders of our gas burning tractors after they had sat over the winter. Pour it in and let it sit for an hour or so, then spin the engine over with the plugs out, then change the oil, put the plugs back in and fire them up for the spring. Those tractors still have good compression and still break land every spring.
  13. I will be at Goose Creek this weekend. Might be an interesting weekend.
  14. On my 23 foot bay boat, I would wash it up and leave it wet on the inside. Shake the can well and spray 3 squirts on my wet desk brush and apply to the front third of the boat, then three more squirts for the middle third and 3 more for the rear third. Then I would take a wet rag, three squirts and wipe down all the bright work. After 30 minutes, I would buff it in with a soft wash pad on my deck brush pole. I would do this only 4 times a year. Makes clean up so much easier it ain't funny. The guy that bought my boat could not believe it was 6 years old with 1300 hours. Looked new.
  15. Maybe it will just shoot on up north.
  16. Nothing wrong with what the dealer is saying. That is an "old school" trick that may help free up a stuck ring.
  17. In 1300 hours with my F200, 90% were below 1000 rpms. Never made oil, never. What the Yamaha guy said makes perfect sense to me. These four strokes are made to run, but most folks just don't run'em. You'll do more damage babying them than you will rawhiding them.
  18. Nothing compares to Woody Wax. A bottle will last you 5 years or so. A little bit goes a LONG way.
  19. The form is driven by County so it can send the email to your local legislators.
  20. We are at 95 letters sent right now. Last year while battling the towing regulations, the boaters of NC sent close to 5,000 form letters through the application that was posted. This is an important issue folks, help spread the word any way you can. You can absolutely copy anything I post and paste it on other forums. I can't keep up with all of them!
  21. Thinking about driving down on Friday, be there Friday afternoon. Drive home Sunday afternoon.
