  2. Ain't nothing for me to do, y'all is good folk.
  3. Several of us get together the second Wednesday of each month in Sanford. We are currently meeting at Bay Breeze on US 421 North. There is no set agenda, just fun and fellowship. Someone usually has a good tip or trick and/or some good stories. A couple weeks ago, several guys got together for a lead pouring session. We will be sure to post our next gathering here. Everyone is invited!
  4. All optional off course. Where do you live? What do you do for a living? Where do you boat and fish? Family? Hobbies? Name is Steve Married with 2 young adults In the Information Services business Have a 2003 Sea Pro SV2300 with a Yamaha F200 (1290 hours) My only hobby is boating and fishing We have a place at Goose Creek and boat/fish out of Bogue Inlet, we go every chance we get!!
  5. That avatar makes me laugh every time!!!
  6. I purchased the nice stainless kit that Andy (SIM) had on sale. It is a stainless steel base, very nice. I use a Racor 10 micron with the clear bowl. With the fuel issues we boaters face these days, I think having the clear bowl with the drain is a must.
  7. I mentioned us doing the demo up front. They are all hungry and I was pleasantly surprised at he total price. We are going to meet with the outfit we have selected and have an install meeting at the house to discuss how things will be done. I wanted to have my gun loaded first. Thanks RI.
  8. Doug, we did ask ask for the best padding they had and the best underlayment for the laminate. Thanks man.
  9. That is exactly what I am worried about Rich. Getting the furniture out of the upstairs would be a major undertaking too man. You know these older split levels have somewhat small stair ways then a tight turn to get outside.
  10. We have a mid-70's traditional split level home. We have been in this home almost 18 years and have remodeled it numerous times over the years. We have replaced everything except the main flooring which is carpet. The tired old carpet needs replacing. We have decided to back with carpet upstairs where there are three bedrooms and a set of stairs. The mid-level of the house has the dinning room, kitchen and living room with another set of stairs that leads down to the foyer and the then the bottom level. We have decided to put laminate on this level. I put laminate in the dining room 10 years ago and really love it. There will be laminate in the foyer and on 5 steps. The bottom level which is the den or family room and a spare bedroom will be carpet once again. Lots of stained wood on this level and we like the warmth of carpet on this level. This is not a slab either, it is a belly crawl. All three bathrooms have new flooring already. Typically we do things ourselves, but this job is just too big. We thought about doing the demo and moving the furniture out, but the company we got a quote from told me it would only save us $700 so I am not sure I want to mess with it at all. I am not worried about them installing the laminate with the furniture still in the room, because they can just move it all to one side of the room, install the laminate, then move the furniture to other side of the room and install the rest. What I am worried about is installing carpet with furniture in the room. Can this be done effectively? Can the carpet be stretched out proper with furniture still in the room? Thanks for your advice!
  11. Then I will add.....nice job on the release captain!

  16. A water pump kit from Andy (SIM) includes much more stuff than the standard impeller kit. Stuff that should be changed. Many folks are having fuel issues due to Ethanol. The engine mounted fuel/water separator and the low pressure pump seem to be the first things to go out. My new posts will show how to troubleshoot common fuel system issues.
  17. I really appreciate those comments buddy. Makes it all worth while!!
  18. I guess Wiley just lets anyone on here.........LOL Hey girl. Best of luck with your new ventures dear!
