  1. What happened at THT had absolutely nothing to do with Wiley. It was a DoS (Denial of Service) attack on the servers. The reason for residual difficulties in signing in is also nothing to do with your router, and everything to do with the new IP that is acquired when a new router is installed. You can accomplish the same thing by releasing your IP and acquiring a new one, which is a little more complicated than a reset of the router, but there's a 14 year old on YouTube that can guide you through it easily enough. The short version of why there are still problems signing in is that a ton of IP's get blocked in order to stop this kind of attack, and they have to be sifted through to eliminate the ones that aren't problematic. The ones that seem most affected appear to be mostly overseas, a big hunk of comcast, and a smattering of others. Again: It has nothing to do with Wiley, and frankly, it's pretty surprising that anyone would think so.
  2. Is that rig in the background straight south of POC about 20 miles +-? I think I used to spearfish on it.
  3. That makes sense. I kind of wondered about the "coming out of the screen" effect. For what I know (not much) about 3D, it was my assumption that the reason it works in the theater is because the projection beams are already out there in front of the screen in the form of the beam travelling from the projector.
  4. So how was the 3D effect? Was it comparable to recent 3D movies in the theater?
  5. I just signed up for Direct TV with 295 channels, HD, Whole house DVR for $77/Mo. the only premium included was encore. HBO, SHO, MAX, and STARZ were each an additional $10, or the whole package was $110 if you wanted all of them. Generally, I've found the premiums to not be worth it if you go to the theater more than once a month, because you'll have seen most of what you want to see long before it hits the pay channels.
  6. THT issues are because of THT. Since they want to promote wileys site by sending everyone over here... you got to wonder... Is a buy out of this site coming? Look at all the hits this place gets now! Oh, I have little doubt that Wiley's fine with the traffic and the post counts, but I have seen him can a couple threads where THT was the topic....just sayin'
  7. I kind of thought that Wiley had the same policy about bringing your THT controversies over here.
  8. You let someone with a UNC shirt on your boat?
  9. The trick here isn't to avoid the trap...it's just to get gone before the effects wear off.
  10. Seems somewhat counterintuitive to sell the boats and then move to the coast.... .....unless your selling to up-size, of course Yes that is true I can still keep one and besides I can fish with you and Welder or you can come and fish with me Hell, I may just ask if I can keep my boat at your house when you move to the coast!

  12. Rick- If he doesn't take it, I will....shoot me a PM if you guys don't work something out.
  13. Take a look at lowes before you buy. I bought one of their kobalt gravity feed guns for about the same as the harbor freight guns, and it looks & feels much better.
  14. So here's my question about the performance: Was Daltry about two beats behind Townshend the whole time, or was Townshend two beats ahead?
  15. Wow. 4 hours after I post that SeaFox is the best boat on the market and that any one reel and outboard are the best and there's ONE response??? There really might be a problem, Wiley. Nurse....charge the paddles to 300.
  16. Read it like this: "Is the bar tender here?" Termites eat wood. Bars are made out of wood.
  17. In my humble opinion I think it's lack of participation that breeds lack of participation. The less response to a thread, the less there is to respond to, and participation shrinks as the threads slow down. What to do about it? Good question. Problem is that everybody already knows that Suzukis are the best outboards, SeaFox has emerged as the new top boat on the market, and there is no reel that compares to a Penn International......Oh, almost forgot: E-10 sucks.
  18. A Cajun was stopped by a game warden in South Louisiana recently with two ice chests of fish, leaving a bayou well known for its fishing. The game warden asked the man, "Do you have a license to catch those fish?""Naw, ma fren, I ain't got none of dem, no. Deez here are my pet fish." "Pet fish?" Ya. Avery night I take deez here fish down to de bayou and let dem swim 'round for a while. Den I whistle and dey jump rat back inta dis here ice chest and I take dem home." "That's a bunch of hooey! Fish can't do that!" The Cajun looked at the game warden for a moment and then said, "It's de truth ma' fren. I'll show you. It really works." "Okay, I've GOT to see this!" The Cajun poured the fish into the bayou and stood and waited. After several minutes, the game warden turned to him and said, "Well?" "Well, what?" said the Cajun "When are you going to call them back?" "Call who back?" "The FISH!" "What fish?" Folks in Louisiana may not be as smart as some, but they aren't as dumb as most.
  19. I would actually pay extra to NOT have a pocket, but either way, I'm in for a XXL and a Lg,
