No doubt, great post, looks like a good time.

Soft scrub w/bleach works pretty well on stained vinyl, however, it is a fishing boat you're going to get stains. The advice of keeping rinsed as you fish is effective. 303 your vinyl, works well repelling stains. Squid ink is nasty stuff.

These are on my list: Deka group 27 deep cycle
Interstate group 27 deep cycle
Sears DieHard group 27 deep cycle
What do you guys think any others I should consider.
DEKA AGM Group 27's are the way to go!
Don't count out Lifeline AGM an outstanding product.

They work very well, a sabre bit is the ticket. As mentioned, take your time and get the feel for it so it doesn't "walk" away on you. Have a helper follow your cut with a shop vac for an almost dustless cut.

Days old? Sorry no repairing that, I would have demanded a replacement from the retailer I purchased it from, let them deal with it. I have all Sitex/Koden electronics on my boat, there service is outstanding, turn around is days not weeks. I also have the luxury of driving to their facility in St. Petersburg and dropping items off. They are top notch in my book.

Roger that, my signal kit is water proof and floats, it's an Olin offshore kit.
