  1. Another option is to install larger Trim Tabs if you have the room for them. I have worked with dozens of owners who have installed brackets and the additional lift of the larger Trim Tabs does an excellent job of helping shift the center of balance forward when the boat is moving.

  2. They must have been used on a high speed boat as three actuators per Trim Tab is highly unusual. The control you describe was known as the Racing Control and has not been manufactured for some time now.

There will be no issues with removing an actuator from each Trim Tab, in fact depending on the boat and its speed you could run one actuator per Trim Tab.

    I hope this helps,

  3. I have issue with Bennetts so called "excellent service" I hear so much about! I for one have never gotten any good service from those folks at Bennett. mainly because my Bennetts have 1600 hours and 12 years on them and never been touched and they work just fine. ..LOL better than my damn Rolex

    :)

  4. Ok Tom......

It's not like you can leave for 2 years and come back like nothing happened and everything is back to normal....

    .....uh

    Well.....

    Maybe you can?

Great to see the real Tabman name again.

As Yogi Berra once said, " It's like deja vue all over again".

  5. ... and if he is reading this he needs to post a certain pic showing what he is doing with a melon!

    I'm back!

I left Bennett a while back to work on my own and sort of semi retire. I’m back doing some consulting with Bennett for a while.

Thanks for the kind words, Bennett is still the same great company it has always been, no changes when I left!

M.J. Thomas has been active on the internet providing the same level of service people are used to from us.

I look forward to being active on this site, and helping out in any way I can.

    P.S. Melon? What Melon?

  6. Same here...I've had this boat since 1999...only regret that I didn't add tabs when originally set it up...WOW whadda difference...perfect condition to test...put the bow into an oncoming chop (long fetch) kicked up by overnite winds...before tabs it would have been doable, but bumpy...dropped that bow down and let the "pointy end" do it's thing and yer glidin' along on top of 'em...Yeah Man!!... :605_thumbs_up:

    :D
