  1. I need to replace my gunnels. The old ones are teak. I was looking to use Starboard. My brother has a painting comp and told me about a product called Azek. It is a composite like material used on decks and trims. It can be cut and drilled like wood. Since it is used on decks it should be UV resitant. It is way cheaper than starbord. Is anyone familar with this? As always, thanks in advance.
  2. Ken2, sorry if I knew who you were before I purchased locally this morning I would have purchased from you.
  3. Thanks for all the info. I went with 15 Enertias. Won't have them on until weekend. I'll post results then. Of course they are call for 5-7 seas, so if this was THaT other site I could run through them at 40 mph.
  4. I was coming up on plane pretty well. The fastest I saw was 29. The tachs are 2008 as well and came with motors but may be off. Dans Prop wizard is who gave me the 15s. Motors are mounted higher than old ones. I was worried they might be to high. Didn't trust other person in boat to drive while I checked height at speed.
  5. WOT is supposed to be 5250-5750. 4200 was trimmed up with light load, two people and @ 100 gallons of gas. I've been searching other prop sites since first post. Found one that let me enter model of boat rather than just weight. They recomended 15 1/4 x 15.
  6. I just repowered my '86 Pursuit 2600 with 2008 t/150 Optis. The motors came with 15 1/4d x 19p mirages. At wot it was only at 4200 rpm. Mercs prop selector site recomends 15 1/2d x 17p. Dose this sound correct? Dose anyone have experience with Mercs prop selector? Are they right on thier recomendations? Thanks in advance.
  7. Around 10 years ago I had a friend who purchased a home inspection bussiness. Never worked in any construction field. Was working in a yeast factory when he purchased bussiness. He went on 2 inspections with seller. Next day he was inspecting houses. All he needed was a bussiness license. Don't know if it is any more regulated today.
