Thanks, I didn't mean to pry into personal affairs.
I know I love mine and I hope to be able to keep it for a long time but in this economy one never knows.
I have a 250 Verado, never have owned a Suzuki but have read good things.
Good luck with the sale, the new owner won't regret buying it.
no sweat, sounds like you have a good setup as well

your boat will sell soon. it's clean and priced right. maybe you could throw in a couple free cleanings once she graduates
not a bad idea.

Im selling due to bills and trying to get my wife thru dental hygiene school. I dont want to lose it but have no choice. I'll have another one someday.

The last 2 days been back in the suds - with my buddy David C.
On Wed. afternoon get a call from David while in Tex's Tackle, asking me if I want to go for a boat ride & check out his new Garmin GPS/Sonar .
Rush home to change & grab a rod or two just in case .........
Cast netted some turbo Pogeys head to the spot -
Less then 5 minutes of anchoring up we both have caught & released 2 over slot Reds each -
then the bite stops ........
Back to the boat to fine turn the Garmin .......
On Thurs. afternoon get a call from David while at Home Depot asking me if I want to go for a boat ride - DeJa Vu - all over again .
Rush home to change & grab 3 rod this time, good thing because he forgot his big stick .
Cast netted some smaller Pogeys head to the spot & it's on again -
First cast 33" Red for me - I'm happy but the conditions are getting ugly .....
David continues to cast further then me with my rod & hooks up every time -
This is not good, so I load the Abu up throw into the wind & get the mother of all backlashes -
Game over for me, but not for David - all I could do was watch him catch Reds on almost every cast with my back up rod .
Back at the boat, I'm pulling up the anchor, he's gloating & saying stuff " like nice balanced rod..... you should get one ..... "
I could do nothing but smile, while plotting my revenge, with my head down I spot about a 40# Cobia swimming between us & the bank .........
Slip the anchor back over & tried to get him to take a boat ride with us, with everything he had -
Live Pogeys, cut Pogeys, free lined Pogeys, bottom rigged Pogeys & white bucktails - but sadly we never saw him again .
On the way back to the dock we see a partial floating 15' Sailboat with 2 boats & a group of people bailing her out .
We stop to help with the bailing, end up towing the Sailboat & her owner to a friends dock .
Thanks to all that had the good sense to aide a person in distress ............ ICM
Sorry - No picture from our super secret spot ........
Nice report ICM

Yeah, I knew the HOTSPOT Bar & Grill was close. I thought it may have been closer than five miles.
Thanks for the heads up on the greens. I thought that might be the case.
Always heard Tidewater is nice. Not sure of price though. Good luck, have fun!

Anybody know a ballpark price to have an Impellar switched out on my Suzuki 225? I know it's cheaper than the alternative but was just wondering. Thanks for any info.

I know, there's no such thing as a perfect boat, but how about one that combines a bay boat's skinny water ability with one that handles a 2 to 3 foot chop to get to the islands 10 to 20 miles offshore. Of yeah, in the 19 to 24 foot range. How about it--- ideas??
dman, I have a 2006 Triton 24' LTS with a 225 Suzuki for sale. 180hrs, like new. It handles 2-3' with ease and drafts shallow. Contact me at: triton24in2006@hotmail.com if you are interested in pics or any other information. It also comes with a 101# thrust Minn Kota trolling motor.

I just bought a Taylor made from http://www.boatersland.com/boatcovers.html . Best price, by far, that I could find. Different boat, though...
Thanks for all the good info. guys. I will start my researching and find one to go with. I'm in Wilmington, NC.

Any suggestions for a good boat cover for a: Triton 240/LTS?

It seems like every spring my bilge pump won't work at the switch, but the auto switch activates it fine. I replace the fuse and I'm good to go. I don't know if it has something to do with water in the bilge freezing, the pump trying to work and then kicking a fuse?
My thoughts exactly. I feel like the pump tried to work but kicked the fuse and it was right around a cold snap, like 16 degree nights.
-
Are both pumps not working? If so I would start tracking for power from the panel. Jmho Pat
I was able to test the "sure bail" float switch and it didnt do anything until I reset the breaker. Thanks for the input on this problem guys.
-
What kind of pump? Is it an automatic pump with built in float, or a separate float?
Check fuses and or breakers first. If all is good, use a voltmeter to see it you are getting juice at the pump when the switch in on.
It has (2) Tsunami 1200 built in float pumps.

My bilge pump has quit working on my Triton LTS and needs repaired. What usually goes out when they quit working? Seems like it quit working right after some frigid temps a few weeks ago. Thanks for any help.
