  1. I belive ReelBoating just picked up a marine carpet vendor. Give them a call. I'm getting ready to do mine soon but haven't bought the carpet and glue yet.
  2. I'll be there on the 17th, 18th and 19th. Me and my buddy Dan will shoot photos, lots of photos. Think I'll handle the sorting and posting this year too. Hope to shoot some high definition 1080p videos on some sea trials. I am hoping the Miss Geico Team will let me be the throttleman on a sea trial too...
  3. Dan, I crew change the day prior (16th), I plan on being there the 17th Feb for the first day. Then as many days as my wife will tolerate after that. Call me on Jan 6th, I'll be back in town and we can make some runs and fish Lake O before my cruise. I'm pretty certain the boat will run 90+ now...with both of us and the 34 prop.. Did some tweaking. I've got two other props a buddy is gonna lend me also, both should run mid nineties with ease.
  4. Merry Christmas everyone! Time to start talking about Miami Boat Show!
  5. Very nice. Nor-Tech makes some fine boats. I'm gonna need a ride on one at Miami this year.
  6. 1200 mph you say? I'm thinking a couple Toyota Prius batteries and larger electric motors might transform my ride.
  7. Detwiler jack plate setup 32 Performer bulletcut 4 blade prop 30 Bravo 1 4 blade prop A 300x or 300xs with 15 inch mid would be sweet too.
  8. Working on much better videos now that I have a HD video camera. Problem is time to do it. Once this hitch is up on the work boat next month, I get home and take a boat to the Keys for a day, then on a week long cruise, then back to another hitch on the work boat. My personal boating time is suffering from all the boating I do.
  9. Exactly 13%. The 28 prop is way too small. Gonna sell that one, get a labbed 30 Bravo to run 93-95 mph, then play some more with the 34 Performer. Couldn't get the rpms over 5500 with it but I really didn't give it my all. Need more seat time. This was only my 6th or 7th time out in the boat. Adding two more inches of setback too. New toy too.
  10. Took the wife on a leisurely cruise down the river this morning. The engine ran great, really couldn't tell if the reed block gave the engine any more hp but it sure did like to hit the limiter (6450). Was running the 28 Performer 3 blade. Check out this video at 44 seconds when it bumped the limiter. Wife says the boat is too fast (what ever that means...) and it is very cold (chilly 60 degrees), take me back to the ramp!!!
  11. I like the photos by "Ludicrois" better. But yours are ok too.
  12. We have VERY fast grouper here in SW FL. Dan, I was running 110 pounds of ballast on the passenger side. I could take that out and see if I can't get you into the nineties. You already experienced 80's riding shotgun.
  13. Roger that, FreeeWiley. You must have seen the post elsewhere about there is no way this boat can do 98.4? Only been out it in 5 times....
  14. Here are two videos shot with an iPhone yesterday during some prop testing. Hit 90 mph for the first time in my Stroker. Tried 28 & 34 Performer (mid eighties), then a Bravo 28 and a TXP 29 (mid eighties) and a labbed 29 TXP three blade. Had the best run with the TXP 29 three blade. 90 mph with more to come!
  15. We were in 45 feet trolling 30+ divers in pink color. Hard bottom spots. Had four of these gags on double hook ups. Have about 10 pounds of grouper in the freezer. Cobia have been good too lately. Can't go wrong with trolling plugs right now. Just find hard bottom and troll figure eights over the spot.
  16. Grouper bite is on fire here in South Florida. Trolling deep divers in pink got us a limit of gags in about a hour:
  17. Washing machine? Should I set it on normal or delicate cycle?
  18. My 502a would just "lock up", power it off and power it back on and it would work again for hours or just minutes. The 504 interface is excellent compared to the clunky 502a. I have not used the SH you mention but I do use other models. Go SH and you won't be disappointed.
  19. I'd go with Standard Horizon. I replaced my 502 that had issues, with a 504. No problems at all with the 504 but dealing with Icom CS on the 502 was frustrating and they never resolved the issue. SH makes great stuff. AIS is nice to have if you operate near a major port.
  20. Sorry guys! Can't be there due to my job. Maybe next year.
  21. F300 but add an Atlas jackplate. HP and the ability to adjust engine height. Make sure you get a water pressure gauge.
  22. Some guy named Jason....you might know him. You gotta a bit of torque with this thing, I need a ride in it! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6VXI4Uxh0H4&feature=related
  23. Played around with it for the first time today, over 75mph I need both hands on the wheel and trim: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=I-JBegMTfg4
