  1. Go look in Costco. I was there last night and they had some very nice type III neoprene ski vests for the older kids. Much more comfy and roomy. They also had some little people Type III PFDs' with the head flotation. I cant remember the make or brand but the price was very good and they didnt look like junk. And if you need toilette paper anyway its worth looking while you are there.
  2. Please use a second discharge hose and side hull. Also please make sure that both pumps are wired to separate battery banks and are correctly fuse protected. The side hull discharges must be 12" or greater above the static water line and incorporate a loop in the hose above the fitting to prevent siphon action.
  3. How about the Riviera? http://www.yachtworld.com/core/listing/boa...=59971&url=
  4. I rigged dozens of these boats when they first came out. I replied to you (over there). Anyway I believe they were rated at 300 hp. We did a test with cop radar (pre GPS) of two identical boats. One with two 150 hp mercs and one with a 275 Cosworth HP Merc. The single blew off the double no trouble. Her manners were better as well. Fun boat with a good ride. PM emudryj or myself for details to recommend on what you should look for when surveying older Scarabs. They have their issues. He knows these boats quite well.
  5. Emanuel, I need to upgrade a couple of PFD's for my kids too this sumer. I get about 35-40% off list with Port Supply. If you would like to split an order, let me know, John
  6. Didnt he go fishing with danny Glover and Joe Peschi? THIS IS WHY YOU NEED TO CARRY A SOLAS ROCKET FLARE THAT CAN'T HELP BUT BE SEEN! jUST ONE IS ALL YOU NEED. 9000 FEET AND 45 SECOND BURN. oFF SHORE AND BUSHES FISHING TOO.
  7. Thanks but no thanks pal I have certain STANDARD(s) in marine comunication if you get my drift.
  8. Anybody close to River Marina in Stuart? I left my extra plastic hammer at the haul slip yesterday while surveying a 36 Tiara. It is a 3.5 hour drive for me to go back. Please go ask Pablo if he found it. It is a cheapo Chinese hammer with two yellow faces and a steel / rubber handle. I only paid a couple of bucks for these things at Harbor Freight but they quit carrying them and I cant find them anywhere else. I have been using this hammer for several years and have grown accustomed to its ring. So please go get it and ship it to me. I will send green Yankee dollars immediately along with a finders fee. Thank you. THE baitkiller
  9. We have a winner! This is my bet as well. Make sure you use a torch for the power head bolts.
  10. If you are not getting any noise issues on the vhf from your sonar, outboard, trim tbas etc. than it is not required. If you do experiance noise issues than you will need to supply a case ground.
  11. Friday afternoon move into the river condo for the weekend. Sat morning coach T ball, then lunch at the Bird Bar. Afternoon pull on my new wakeboard. Then maybe box-O chiken with the family tarpon fishing in the pass. Sunday after church all hands head to Keywadin for tubing, kneeboarding, skiing and wake boarding. Should be a three or four boat raft up with more kids than a free snow cone machine. In bed passed out, fed and well taken care of by 9:30. Got to get up and kill it at dawn Monday! I'm already tired just reading that~!
  12. He Gus if you have a Fireboy the wires are already there waiting and identified.
  13. Hi Gus, The Cummins B series has a "power to run" fuel solenoid. You need a dead man that is open with the lanyard pulled. (four stroke).
  14. Rumor has it that Tabman is no longer with Bennet
  15. Trust me, this boat ain't going anywhere without a plasma cutter. Nice job Emanuel.
  16. OK I'll pick up Cam at 3:00 then if he gets his homework done, take him for a few wake board pulls. That should scratch the itch a little.
  17. Not a waterproof one with a battery worth a crap.
  18. It is absolutely bloody gorgeous outside and I'm stuck here writing reports. Talk me out of what I'm thinking. Please!
  19. I run a free fall 1000 on the Intrepid with 5/8 3 strand, 32' 5/16 chain, swivel and a 35# Delta plow. Today I lost everything again to this frigging POS. My fault I guess because I don't crawl up front and cleat off the line. It seems that when anchoring with big loads. (both days very similar) 4-5 seas around 65' deep the line gets pinched so tight in the gypsy that it sheers clean off. Brand new New England rope. I'm at 1,300$ and counting in ground tackle. Anyone else have these problems?
  20. Thanks for clearing that up. That sure explains alot.
  21. You boys should see the hard work and fine rigging this guy has done. Very clean and nice. He impressed the hell out me and Im a picky ###### So Emanuel, lift up her skirt and show the boys the goods!
  22. suck or swim. F*ck or float My usual: Honey I'm going fishing so you had better order a pizza.
  23. I had the same radar bas and light mast but both a bit larger. I had a real ###### keeping the mast from flopping over. Counter-boring the grub screws didn't help. I finally had through bolt the damn thing. Does it stay upright for you?
