My 2006 275 Verado started leaking motor oil out of the lower unit next to the drain plug. (238 hours) The mechanic diagnosed it as an oil pump seal. I contacted Mercury who tells me that I’m 15 months out of warranty, they are not financially responsible and to have a nice day. I contact the Mechanic and ask him how much overtime and I’m going to work to pay for the costly repair. The mechanic makes a 5 minute call to Mercury, who agrees to cover the total cost, and tells the mechanic to replace the oil pump shaft while he’s at it. That’s customer service. Thanks Mercury and I owe the mechanic a case of his favorite brew.

Kodiaks for me as well. I have had them for 4 years without a single issue

You need to keep the two away from each other as the magnet will throw the gauges off. Before installing the compass, set it on your dash and watch the needle as you move the compass around. if the compass is far enough away from the gauges, then the needle will point north. Hope this is helpful.

Never thought that a shoot thru the hull Transducer could work so well, have a look at the Humminbird, you'll be glad that you did!!!!!
I have a Garmin 3010 with a thru hull that has been nothing short of great. Also have the Hummingbird Side Scan with a transom mount that has been so-so.

Interested in knowing if I have priced our boat right with the market. Can be seen at http://www.boattrader.com/search-results/T...rt-Length:DESC/ 2008 Polar, Twin F-115 Yams.
Would like some feedback as if this was your boat.
Thanks
Looks like a great boat for a fair price. One thing that caught my eye was the fact that the warranty expires today on the motors. Spending that kind of money, i would want sometype of extended warranty on the motors. Good luck.

I ran over a rope this weekend at 1000rpms. I noticed it soon after i ran it over and put the engine in neutral. As I continued home, i felt a vibration in the motor, which is a 275 Verado. The prop looks good, my next guess is a bent shaft. Any suggestions? Thanks
Thanks for the suggestions, i'll take the prop off and have it checked out. Thanks again.

Have you pulled the prop yet? Could be some of that rope behind the prop. If there is none bring the prop to a prop shop to check the balance of it or you might have slipped the hub and need a new hub replacement, I keep a spare prop and hub kit on my boat and my spare hub kit does make my Verado vibrate I had hit some stumps with my old aluminum so this is likely the problem.
I doubt that you have bent a shaft or even a SS prop blade on some rope. But hey strange things do happen.

Could be a bent blade on the prop too. Is it stainless?
yes sir, it is stainless

Got the boat back last week and ran it this past Saturday. It ran like it was brand new. Thanks Offshore Performance. If you ever have a Mercury issue in Ft. Myers, go see Gary Willet
