  1. I must be be too late. :1898_: When I click the link I get an error from their site that says to go to the home page and navigate from there. I can not find any real good deals like you guys got on PFD's.

    Rick

Hey Rick, when you hit the link and get the error go up and click home, when that screen loads you will see the special load in the center, it is an alternating load in flash player showing multiple items.

  2. I am on another forum that has over 195,000 members, they run a pretty tight ship and have no problem with members wanting to leave, several others from there are here also, even one of their moderators. Ya don't fight, friendly banter is ok, no bashing, no politics, and other things. With all those rules it really is a friendly place to be, so don't worry about setting rules in place I don't think it will hurt. There are other forums that you have to be careful what you say cuz somebody is going to pound you with nasty, bashing remarks, those are not so friendly.

  3. I am in and out several times a day, just don't have time to spend lately on posting, I got too many aligators around me, had a rash of crashed hard drives lately and users that screw up a computer and swear they did nothing, and it is the slow time of year, not only here but on several others that I am on. Hang in there it will pick up when the weather warms up and boats start running again. :rb-rules:

  4. None of those people, UPS,FEDEX, etc will contact you in that manner, neither will your banks, paypal or any other organization contact you that way. That is a common occurrence in the email world. Out of 6 email accounts I monitor daily I see plenty of that. They may call you on the phone, they may contact the shipper and the shipper will contact you but not in this manner.

  5. Well, I love to boat as most everyone here does. Got my first boating license in NY at 13 and grew up on Long Island's Great South Bay. Been boating now over 45 years.

Now located in the Great NW where rain is the weather forecast with an occasional "sun break". The Admiral hates it here so we will be looking for new digs someplace on the "Easy" coast and away from the "Left" coast... but not too soon. Maybe SC around the northern shore near the south end of NC...

Anyway, current boat is a 24' Ciera Express 2452 and I repowered her with a Merc HO MPI 6.2 and she flies... (anyone need a rebuilt 5.7?) have many upgrades since... RayMarine 48 NM radar, GPS, auto trim tabs w/ indicators, electronic compass and auto helm, inverter, dual battery banks w/Blue Sea monitoring system, holding and fresh water tank indicators, electric flush head, resurfaced cabin floors, two Canon electric down riggers with ProTroll black box, HDTV w/DVD/CD/SD player built in, heated cockpit, 9.9 electric steered kicker w/ electric start at helm, Kiddie fire suppressant system in engine bay, Xintex Fume detector, sliding helm seat with added arm rests, dual seats added to aft cockpit, Sprint 600 anchor windlass, four position cockpit and cabin heat system and a few other mods I forgot... Check my sig for more photos & upgrades of our boat... When we go to the East coast, I'll install outriggers from my dad's recently retired Shamrock.

I like this new forum much better than the previous and also hope this site stays focused on boating and boat related threads for the most part...

Look forward to meeting many of you face to face and you can be assured, I will post threads as though I were talking to you on the docks...

Welcome aboard Doug, glad to see you here. I know you from CSR. This is a good place to be, just like the other a lot of good info here.

  7. Yup he wants you to look at his website and then he probably wants to sell you a franchise. I wonder if he is a registered advertiser/vendor.

    Hi Midway...

Not a registered advertiser as of yet. I have contacted Wiley for rates.

Sorry it took so long to get back to you. I had a military project which took me away from Art of Detailing and Boat Toys for a short while.

I am home now and can continue building the two companies.

Do you have any suggestions as to how I can work this site. I believe I can help people.

    Thanks Midway...

While you are talking to Wiley I feel sure he will guide in the right way to do things. This is a good place for you to be and sponsor, everybody can help out. Good luck to you. Your first post looked like SPAM that is why you got the responses from us.

  8. My first car was an 1951 Chevy Club Coupe, my second car was a 1965 Chevy Impala twodoor, 396CI 425HP, 4 speed 4:10 rear, still run GM to this day. I remember they 1957 Chevy, 283 Power Pack with 3 dueces, 1958 Chevy with 348 4bbl or 3 dueces, and then the 409 in 1961, this thread brings back a lot of memories from the good old days.
