  1. Yeah!!...I likey that one...if you put a longer link on the bottom, will the flag fly straighter?...(horizontally?) ...good idea on the foam, too...
  2. Just be sure she's dry or can be dried internally...sometimes the foam inside the hull can get soaked if the hull's been breached...that said, it'd make a great project boat...if you do it, send pictures as it comes along...I guess they'd go in the new "Project" section...
  3. Another solution to the supply side: cap a stand pipe above desired water level and cut a downward 45* slice about 1/3 the way thru the pipe just below the cap...this will create a down spray that'll aerate nicely... Like what you did on the return side...great solution...would adding a rubber "O" ring to the back of the screw-in plug make it any easier?...might not have to tighten as much to seal...
  4. I know...I know...shoulda done this one LONG time ago, but just couldn't find a good, non-conspicuous place to put it...when I swapped new for old battery boxes it hit me!...Why not ON the battery box?...on my boat, it's easily accessed and outta the way...brought the incoming wires as usual, but for the wire from switch to battery I drilled a hole thru the box behind where the switch is mounted, so that worked out nice and clean...
  5. Been a long time...many other issues in the way...but they are finally operational... Tabs UP! Tabs DOWN!! Pump tucked away... Pump still "gargles" a bit, but I'm told that'll go away as the system bleeds itself...now I gotta SPLASH and see how they do...
  6. Try here... http://fishingcollectables.com/ or here... http://www.angling-artifacts.com/ Good luck...let us know what ya find...
  7. They oughtta tie a good rope around his neck and tow him around the harbor w/that boat once or twice a week...
  8. Nope...went right to it...that pic is cool as a moose...
  9. Nice job!!...she must do a serious "skootie-poot" w/that 200!!...I'd be out lookin' for storms so I could RUN from 'em!!...
  10. RARP...Redneck Artificial Reef Program...
  11. She'll do 60 mph (GPS) in 4-6'ers!!...I GAWD...
  12. Great work, King...there's a project that'll really pay off when done!!...SWEET
  13. I like those...sold in pairs?...who makes 'em and where didja get 'em?...
  14. http://www.sturdybuiltonline.com/ Here's another source you will want to price what you need...
  15. http://www.ptprop.com/ Here's another VERY GOOD resource for determining and supplying the right prop for your boat...these guys a good...REEL good...
  16. That's interesting!!...and good to know...never would have considered installing them that way...good to know for the future, but the 8 x 12 tabs I have probably would not have worked on horizontal line...but thanks anyway for the idea...
  17. Still can't bring myself to call Lake Clark Hill by the name Thurmond Lake... but you are right...all 3 of these lakes have some HAWG stripes swimmin' around in 'em...they must use broomsticks and 100 lb test in Russell...never saw so many TREES in my life...
  18. What's WRONG w/this picture??...Squishy Squishy...
  19. Glad you mentioned that...a friend of mine said the same thing...went back and re-read the article and it doesn't say which lake, but I'm beginnin' to think you're right about Russell...although I DO believe (sure actually) there are stripers of this class in Hartwell...several years back a guy pulled up to our camp...he was not even a fisherman...he had picked up a floating striper, still alive...we took to 55lb scale which it bottomed out easily and immediatley...
  20. NICE work...should be in Smithsonian as work of art... Pix of wiring job came up good...still cannot see LED pix...where are they posted on the other board?...I'd like to see 'em...Thx...
  21. Some guys don't think much of freshwater striper fishin'...this might cause some rethinkin'...caught this past weekend in Lake Hartwell SC/GA...this same guy caught a 59 lber 7 years back... This is why I fish Lake Hartwell... 63 lbs 4 oz My personal best is 34 lbs, but we've always know there to be much larger stripes here...
  22. WOW!!...I thought I was reading about myself, til you said 3 batteries!!...I bought 2 of those from K Mart about the same time you got yours and they're still HOT as ever...green "eye" still glows bright!!...mine stay plugged in to a Guest 20 amp on-board charger all the time and have since new...and like you, I'm hoping the new ones (if I ever have to buy 'em??) are as good as these...I'm still amazed!!... My local mechanic is an AC/Delco dealer and says he can get 'em no problem...
  23. Thanks 2nd Curse...she's a '74 and the only problem w/installation was where the lines came thru the transom...VERY close to inside of splashwell and didn't leave ANY clearance... As the pic shows, I put 'em as close to outside end of the tranny as they could go...and even relocated holes in trailing edge of tab to get the top of the cylinder away from the splashwell, but still close... Unfortunately I haven't splashed it since the install and still have wiring to finish up...my bow rides a little high since hangin' the Honda on it several years ago...the tabs will give me some control in that area...anyway, it's done and I am ready to get it wet...I'll let ya know how effective they are... Can't really tell if you got V20 or not...if so, you'll enjoy this... http://www.wellcraftv20.com/
