Canada and the United States have the best Coast Guards, bar none.
During storms and emergencies they are they to help us.
Canada and the United States' men and women of the Coast Guard train and work together in bordering waters, and they back-up each other in times of emergency.
May God bless and protect each and every one of you, and your families over this Christmas season and the coming new year, regardless of race, religion and political belief . . . as you have taken care of us.
Thank you and safe boating to all

15 calls/emails over the last couple of months and only 3 reply's. It's not like I was making low ball offers or anything. I just wanted to know things like hours/maintenance/more pictures etc. These are both dealers and individuals from Miami to Destin.
The one offer I made was within 10% of the asking price and I got a stone cold no.
Anybody had the same experience? It is getting kind of frustrating.
Looking for a good family friendly fishing boat 23-25 feet, preferably with twins. Shortlist is Sailfish 2360, ProLine 24SS, Donzi 23 ZF and SeaChaser 2400.
Had exactly the same result . . . seems that if there is not a great big commission and next to no work required, most brokers are non-responsive and unwilling to do any work.
On the other side, I do not know what percentage of buyers are serious or not.
Either way brokers are not responding if the boat is less than $100K or more . . . that is my experience during the last 18 months or so

NEMA and not DEMA 2000

Was down in Virginia Beach over 2 weeks ago and spent a week helping Dale who is doing the electronic install - - - I then came back to Canada and dale continued working on the elctronics making sure everything was working great
For those who do not rememeber it is Furuno NavNet3 system - - - one 12 inch display - - - one 8 inch display - - - digital fish finder black box - - - 12 kw radar - - - AIS system - - - Sirus weather - - - two Icom M604 VHF - - - auto pilot - - - new 23 ft antennas - - - a couple of other minor gadgets - - - and then I reached my electronics maximum budget for a few / many months - - - time to get fishing
We decided to go the entire DEMA 2000 route and not 183 . . . so there was a learning curve
Well I just talked to Dale and everything seems to be working - - - just a few minor glitches (talking to Furuno) and trying to connect to an older transducer until I haukl the boat and get a new transducer
Hope to move the boat down to Pirates Cove this weekend
Yes we took pics of the install . . . and will take more pics this weekend . . . and will post the entire trip

Are these 1 or 2 speed reels?
Do you have pictures of the rods and reels?
Thanks

Power Yacht was kind enough to send me this picture of an 38 footer like mine that he saw in Malta . . . there were only 13 made
While I do not like what the owner did to the aft bulkhead of the salon, we all have different tastes, it is interesting to see that (i) flybridge has remained the same (ii) the blue color is like the color combination we saw of Chevy products (the Corvette and the Belair for example of the early sixties)
Thanks Power Yacht for sending the picture

Nice looking boat Gus and we know you are happy with your purchase.
By the way what type of electronics will you install, you mentioned the current ones are outdated
I decided and placed the order today with BOEMarine
Selected Furuno 3D . . . only Furuno gear so that there is no finger pointing when something does not work
I will be posting the install which I hope to startin about 10 days

Beautiful boat. I live on Cape Cod and here in Falmouth there is a Bertram that like your boat has been restored . It is absolutely a beauty. Whenever she cruises by my restaurant I stop and watch. Same model as your boat, but with a tower and navy blue hull. Enjoy the boat. I have enjoyed following your journey.
I received a pic of that boat.
Yes the owner did a lot of work on that boat.
Lots of nice features. I have not seen interior pics of it though.

Did you get a DSLR?
I had a Nikon D90 DSLR.
My son called a few minutes ago and the shop is able to repair it, so I should get it next week.
