  1. What's with the deluge of new 'members'? Cyrillic script, links to sex partners, penis enlargement, violin lessons etc.504_shrugging.gif

    WTF???

Anyone check the profile on this 'guy' LurMip?blink.png

What's with December 14 2014 at least a dozen new 'members' and counting that day.504_shrugging.gif

Is anyone 'watching the store here'?504_shrugging.gif The DramaMine is relatively benign when compared to this forum.

yeah wiley's taking care of it.

Somebody always likes to tell Wiley he's not doing his job. It was obvious that Wiley was going to travel for the Christmas holiday and wasn't interested in baby sitting.

Hope everyone had a nice Christmas!!!

  2. So a letter to the editor in a local paper is also a violation of the rules.

At what point does the "jurisdiction" of THT and any policies or action it has or takes become null and void? Not an argumentative question.

Personally I don't care about it but I find it sort of strange that an issue with any THTMOD discussed outside of their controlled site (RB in this example) is of any concern to them. Of course a perma ban most likely would be the end result but at that point who cares.

No changing my mind from this.

  3. Re: Real time testing

It won't happen because Garmin wants to control everything using Garmin gear and charts only.

I met the guys on the water doing real time mapping for Navionics. I bought from Garmin and worked after the fact with them. They hit the 80% mark. During my daily working day, 80% is total failure.

I think we can all agree that Garmin is sub-contracting and re-labeling the mapping aspect of the work. Personally I expected more from a company so well known in guidance technology.

  4. This is for several people so please no direct offense meant to any one individual - Why don't you all keep your personal distaste and comments for others in the Dramamine?

If you truly care about helping this site grow you will keep that where it belongs (and it can be fun I'm not knocking it completely) and keep the top side about fishing and boating.

You all do realize the many folks coming here from the BOE thread to newly check this out or old members (as I am) coming back to see all this gay ass drivel and personal agenda is a huge turn off.

Again, only if you truly care about the success of the forum. I have no dog in this hunt other than I like to talk about boating and fishing with the occasional drunken trip to no man's land aka the Dramamine/The Bilge/Politically Correct/etc...

I can appreciate where you are coming from and to a point agree. The BOE thing was a good thing for here and hopefully it lasts however its a known fact that the heavy handed moderating that drove people here is the same reason some people are here. I don't need the slime above the deck either.

I'll do my part in keeping it low.

  6. Interesting. I bought a Garmin because they "said" that the chart they had was good for my local waters. Upon install it sucked plain and simple. When I complained I was told and I saved the emails that they were working on a better chart and they would exchange the chart straight up when the changes were complete. It never happened. If it wasn't so much work to rip out the Garmin and replace it with the Raymarine system I would have done it over spite... not the money the following year. One of my slipmates went with Raymarine after our conversations.

I'll admit the G is easier to run than the R but I got pretty good with the R so it was not a big deal when what I wanted was detail.

My Navionics chart was head and shoulders better than the Garmin.

  7. The issue is when you click on the reply to topic window where you would normally start writing your text, the screen changes so quickly that it also changes the setting because that box is directly under the screen you were on.

I should try and click on the reply box someplace different and see what happens.
