Thanks for your question The regional forums I started on the other site did very well. I'd hate to get into the habit of openeing "yet another forum area you see on other sites" but do realize the importance of regions. Another thing is a lot of local web forums have popped up over the past couple of years that are region-specific. Let's see what the feedback is here first. Good suggestion though!

I have a ton (literally) of emails from people over the past 2 years wanting me to alert them when the new site opens. I've stayed quiet all this time but will now be contacting them this all by email them week. Expect a lot of new members to join in the next 10 days. What's good about this is instead of opening the forum to a bunch of disgruntled refugees from other forums I am contacting those that are truely interested in being here and have proven to add quality to forums they participate in - with the exception of Ludicrous who has those "special pictures" of me - had to let him in. Marine industry contacts will be informed shortly after, I have several hundred of them. Going to be a great forum!
