The starboard to answer your question wax will actually slow your boat down. Like aimless said if in saltwater you want an antifouling paint.

Aimless the line came in because you accidently hit the U In the tool bar when you went to type. I've done it before myself. Also watch accidently hitting some of the other buttons there right above the left bottom corner of the post box. wink.png

If it's algea he's probably in fresh water since if he were leaving it in salt water he'd have all sorts of marine growth including barnacles growing up on the bottom real fast. Seattle cooler waters maybe not so fast but still will grow more than algea in cool salt water.
