Mercruiser outdrive oil change questions

How much oil does a Mercruiser outdrive hold? Stopped by the local marina and picked up 3 qtrs of Mercruiser gear oil, drained the outdrive and the compartment inside the engine area. Pumped oil back in till it came out the top pulg and reinstalled that and pumped to the inside compartment was above the float then topped it off...took appx 1.75 qtrs, cant find out what drive unit I have or how much it's supposed to hold, can you help?
