Hmmm. 16 mile range at 1-2 knots? And I suspect that is max based on nursing it.

The weight is a big plus - especially if kids are using the RIB.

He doesn't say whether the prop can be changed out by the owner.

I also wonder how long it takes to recharge.

I think its a great start and the way to go for future development - but a long way off before it will be useful for more than a short distance ship to shore tender. At just under $2000 it is up against a 9.9 HP gas OB and right now it would will be hard to go this way rather than gas.
