CLEANING GPS SCREEN

I have water spots on the screen of my Garmin 545s that i cannot remove.Tried washing with soap and water and cleaning with Plexis but they still remain. Anybody have any ideas?

Yeah, vinegar is the best as it contains acid in it. You can use it directly. It will not be worse.

Plain windex will clean it also....plus it'll remove the "anti glare" crap thats on there and leave a perfectly clear screen. Use windex without amonia.

Distilled water and a drop of dish soap.You do not want to remove the anti glare coating. Only use micro Fiber cloth.

Why not remove the anti glare? Thats whats causing the spots to be an issue in the first place. My anti-glare coating has been cleaned off for at least two years now and the screen is perfectly clear and cleans easily.

I suppose if you wanted to remove the anti glare proprieties on the screen you could.

Not only does the coating reduce glare on the screen it also protects from UV rays from penetrating through the glass.

Uv rays shorten the life of these screens.

You probably thought you had spots but in reality it was probably scratched from improper cleaning in the first place.
