How about an online boat registry -project -modification area?

How about a specific online boat registry - project - modification area on ReelBoating? Integrated with the member database.

Similar to an online garage but where you can post YOUR boat info in a category, add images, list details and modifications, allow comments to your modifications, and even post ongoing project details - all in it's own area.

I believe I can work with various software out there to adapt this to ReelBoating.

One thing I worry about is getting too far advanced for the user. I know some "forums" thrive on just people typing in posts and then reading others but I feel I can take forums to an entire new level.

I'd eventually like to build a bigger online experience than just regurgitated chat.

Do we like ease, or options?

i think its a great idea, from posting small modifications or upgrades to a complete refit. i think a lot of people would enjoy that.

same goes for successful fishing trips - pictures and how, where, and when you caught...

and hopefully the participation goes up.... its been kind of weak lately it seems...

Facebook has put a bit of hurtin' on web forum participation. That'll all change soon.

People who used to self-promote on web forums, only to get deleted or banned, are now doing so all over Facebook without consequence.

However... on Facebook people want you to read what THEY are saying, they don't necessarily care what YOU are saying. ;)
