15 year old fishing accident comes to the surface again

Recommended Posts

well 15 years ago I was fishing in st petersburg fl at the docks & hooked the top of a pylon. when I pulled to break the line the 11/2 oz egg sinker rocketed back & nailed my thumb then dropped in the water. I had a nice scratch. The next day I noticed a lump that I could move around & thought the sinker had chipped the upper knuckle when it hit. well 15 years later I was clearing our fence line with a bush axe & the garring gared the chip lose it worked down my thum to the lower joint. it was now bothering me I was thinking about getting it removed but had taped my thumb below the chip in hopes it would work back up my finger. While I was installing my lenco troll n tabs (there awsome) i notice I had a big spot of ****. I grabbed an exacto knife & sterilized the blade & my thumb. I then cut open the pocket & relized I could possibly squeeze out the chip. so I squeezed & out popped a black curly q. looked like a peice of shell well I thought maybe I had gotten some shell on the weight & started squeezing& shifting the lose piece in my thumb after some real squeezing out it popped. A little black berrel ( I couldnt belive it a swivel) the first curly q was part of the ring. after some more squeezing I was able to get out several more pieces of the ring. I went to the doctor for an x-ray just a tiny little pice of the ring remains.

heres some pics.
