RIP Beachnut

Beachnut 1998-2009

I said goodbye to my buddy of 11 years today. Cancer took over his body and he could no longer walk.

If you met Beachnut you knew how special he was. Strong, proud and a good friend. He was my only "child" and a big part of many major events in my life.

He loved boating as much as anybody here.

Beachnut was the only dog I raised from a puppy. The car ride to the humane society was also a first.

It's been a tough day.

Thank you for allowing me to give him this brief tribute. He is deserving of so much more. I was truely fortunate to have him as part of my life.

I could have written pages and pages about how great he was but I'm sure most of you already understand the bond.

It was an empty feeling not having him here to greet me this morning. We had a daily routine.
