I am hoping to go from Port St Lucie to Fort Myers. Has anyone done this trip? What advice would you have?

Thanks

I know some people who have done it. It make take more than one day, so plan on an over night at some marina. Also call ahead to make sure all the locks are open. They close them for repairs sometimes. Sorry, I don't have any phone numbers for you, but others should chime in.

I did this trip a few years ago. I left from Delray and went to Boca Grande. I was in the ICW all the way up to the Okeechobee water way do to bad weather. I ran across the lake to Roland Martins marina to stay the night, that was the half way spot for me. Don't take the rim canal it will take you for ever.

It was a fun trip but boring as hell. Bring lots of booze. Like Mrpat said call ahead for lock info.

Have fun. :1992_beer_cheer:
