Castalia Outdoors, Inc. introduces Liquid Steel Leader. Unlike other leaders, Liquid Steel is ultra-thin, yet super strong. The German- made 1:19 steel provides the ultimate in strength and durability, yet is an exceptional value. No twisting, crimping or clamping is needed with Liquid Steel, and the lower stretch properties make for perfect sensitivity allowing for quick hooksets.

All components are non-sparkle “gunsmoke” color.

Liquid Steel Leader is available in four pre-rigged configurations - snap/swivel, baithook/swivel, tandem/swivel and treble/swivel - in a variety of pound-tests and convenient lengths for quick and easy tie- ons.

Also from Castalia comes the Sharkfin spinning reel spool. The original world-standard reel upgrade it offers quality and features that no other spinning reel offers. Its popularity in Europe has resulted is sales during 2009 of more than 65,000 units.

The Sharkfin spool is uniquely designed to cast farther and eliminate tangles or “birdnests” often encountered with spinning reels. The design reduces friction on the line during the cast, allowing the angler to cast farther and providing greater accuracy and less line stress. The “fins” also retain the dreaded line loops that cause tangles on traditional spinning reels, and freely releases them on the next cast. The Sharkfin is used like any standard spool, is braid- friendly, and works with all reel-recommended line diameters.

Fishhook Removal Kit uses same proven method (prefer string technique when possible) used by most physicians in Minnesota who know how it's done. Kit was developed by an emergency physician after seeing hooks removed incorrectly with resulting infections and tissue trauma. Even most avid fishermen don't remove hooks properly. Sells for $7.99, ER visit ~$300.00-$500.00.

I never knew they made hooks for humans.

Yep, just look in any store that sells fishing tackle. Bunches of stuff that's designed to hook fisherman. Heck, I've got a tackle box full of stuff that caught me, but has never caught a fish.

..remove it and report back.

Did the press and jerk thing year before last, worked like a champ. The key is that the entry 'channel' has to be basically straight. If entry is arched, it could get real painful ... :605_thumbs_up:
