I realize finding warm water is the best bet. But cobia season isn't far away... What's biting right now off the Carolina coast?

My son and a couple of his fraternity brothers went 2 and a half weeks ago. I stand corrected on what they caught, from my previous post. He informed me at dinner the other night it was a 56# wahoo, a 48# blackfin, and a 32# and 35# yellowfin. They fished the Big Rock. It was 19 degrees when they left the dock. The spray was icing on the boat. When they got to the stream, the warm water with the cold air made it so foggy they could barely see. He was showing some pics on his phone. As soon as he sends them to me, I'll post them up. The wahoo is HUGE!

Whoops. No record here. Just a slip up. Should have been a 28# Blackfin. My bad.

Been some nice hoo reports for sure lately - 50#'ers not uncommon. Also heard some nice gaffer dolphins picked up Sunday off the Fight N Lady....

I was planning a trip offshore this weekend to see for myself what's biting.....dang spring weather.

I am already planning next Friday to head down to fish on Friday and Saturday............
