  1. The Marlin in East Cape are amazing. Been there 4 times stated at Spa.
  2. Love the area. Used to stay at Spa Buena Vista. Have you been to Teo Pablo's and get the belly buster?
  3. You like the boat and you like price. Maybe a surveyor will help make your mind up.
  4. All things being equal as in price and room plus the options. Then paying 60 cents or more for fuel means that there is no "payback" for the non extra price of the diesel. Now you have to look at when the tip over point where the TDI becomes a better buy than anything else in your shopping category. In my own opinion if paying extra for the diesel is not a big deal buy the TDI as it fits your driving style better than the Prius. This info is based on one of our first choices about driving it long distance.
  5. It is almost 60 cents a gallon difference in MO. But those TDI's are not THAT exepnesive are they?
  6. I think they do these lists so drum up readership and talk. Which is not a bad thing. One of my personal greats is on the list Keith Richards. Further down the list Steven Stills and Lindsey Buckingham are noted. I also like Slash he was on the list but not as high as I would have liked to seen. George Harrison was not too shabby either and he made the list. The one person who did not make the list Nigel Tufnel was a slight disappointment. For those of you too young here is Nige doing what he does best. Please note the professional of Nigel when he stops his amazing solo to tune the violin. Very few Ax men would have had the presence of mind to do that. Also please note his mouth work on his shredding a high note. Impeccable timing. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=k4UJkl6eaGQ
  7. Since for most of my life I have sold Chevrolet's and no mention of the Cruze in this topic I will offer my opinion. It is a no brainer to buy the VW if it is for consistent fuel economy and of course range. I also think VW has been making a better car of late and Toyota is on a slight decline. If you were going to use the Prius in city driving as the majority of your driving you could make a case for it. But driving long distance VW all the way on your two choices.
  8. Texas found out from the Pac 12 that not everyone wants a disruptive school in their conference. Maybe now the AD of Texas will find out what it means to belong to a conference and the sharing that it involves. Kind of interesting that they came back with their azz handed to them from the Pac 12. I guess they saw what Texas did to the Big 12 and said thanks but no thanks.
  9. I need to replace the words Contender Thread with A1/Blackbird Outboards
  10. Sorry my post offended you and your wishes. I won't post again.
  11. Never did like the skunked part of the forum. If you want action on the web you have to have controversy. OK then now onto the point of the thread. I am in the retail auto business. I sell domestic and I love my job and have for almost 40 years. I usually default to the builders or the dealers in most debates. This Contender thread is no different. There are two sides to every story and we are getting one side. In my experience in customer relations the squeaky wheel does get the grease until the squeaky wheel starts yelling or cursing then they get nothing. If you have not walked in my shoes you will never understand and I do acknowledge this. I am a very understanding customer because of what I do for a living. I would bet you dollars to doughnuts that this customer made the owner of Contender very very mad. How, only Neber and Bloodsteam know. Just remember when you go in to someplace and go balls to the walls you may get your balls handed back to you. As far as the Privity issue I believe since Brett is the voice of that issue and he is going to be doing the appeal pro bono I am not trusting what he says. Just saying he has an ax to grind now and he is grinding away with privity. In anybodies right mind do you think Contender is going to default on the warranty of all their boats? If they do they were already going out of business. The privity issue is nothing more than a skunk being thrown out there to stink up the case. Or a ploy by Contender to ease its way into bankruptcy.
  12. Funny when I went by your house on my cruise I was waiting to see the inlet cam sign and take a picture. No inlet cam sign so no picture. I thought hmm he must be moving. Guess I was right for once.
