  5. Alot of us guys and gals from North Carolina are very active in MAD which stands for Military Appreciation Day and we need YOUR help!! Military Appreciation Day is an event organized by volunteers to provide a day of fishing for our Active Duty Military, Guard and Reservists. The event also includes activities for their families and a southern style cookout. MAD, Inc. is excited to announce that 2010 will see an increase in opportunities to show our Troops and their Families how much we appreciate them! Beginning with our annual event in Morehead City on June 5th, we will follow with our first event in Florida at MAD 5 Panama City on July 31st. Finally, we host our annual fall event in Oak Island in October. 2010 will be our largest effort in history and we are hoping that we can show our gratitude and support to over 1000 military personnel at these three events. To do this however, will require a lot support from everyone as we hope to remain an all volunteer organization. Please be sure to check our web site for updates regularly, sign up to receive our email newsletter the MAD Report and volunteer or make a donation if you are able. Our events are organized and managed by a group of dedicated volunteers and we need more! If you would like to volunteer to help us Thank Those Who Serve America, click http://www.militaryappreciationday.org/phpBB3/volunteer.php We also need donations to help pay for these events for our heroes. No amount is too small! If you would like to make a tax deductible donation to MAD, click http://www.militaryappreciationday.org/phpBB3/donate.php If you can volunteer your boat to take some of our Hero's fishing...then please sign up! We need over 120 private owned boats to run this event. If you can't bring your boat, then try to volunteer to help out on land. We need all the help we can get!! Thank you for continuing to support Military Appreciation Day!

  7. We managed to catch 11 on Friday, they were from 12-18 lbs. It was beyond cold out there. We had the same issue when washing the boat on Saturday morning!
  8. Got several friends out there today...they've both limited out. Catching fish from 20-35 lbs
  9. We'll be headed back up there on Thursday afternoon. Going to fish out of Rudee Inlet on Friday. Hope to catch 'em up!
  10. Reel, we went up there this past weekend, only got to fish on Friday. Saturday and Sunday was a wash with wind and rain. We caught 6 on Friday, 2 about 5 lbs Friday morning and Friday evening with eels, we got 2 about 15 lbs and 2 that were 34-35 inches. Heard some reports of a few 40" + fish being caught, but I don't think the big ones have really gotten there yet.
  11. My hubby and I were down there week before last and he caught all the flounder and trout you could ask for. Also caught about 6 undersize puppy drum and 1 undersize striper right off the dock! Who needs a boat?!?!
  12. My hubby (Striper Junkie on here) and I will be staying at Manteo, NC for our vacation from 8/1/09 to 8/8/09. We are leaving our boat at home, but we would love to be able to do some fishing. If anyone is gonna be down that way and would be interested in having 2 or 3 extras....we'd be more than happy to help pay for gas, etc. Thanks!
  13. A Tiger fish...most common around South America.
