  1. FL has no exclusion. The 2009 Florida Statutes Title XXIII MOTOR VEHICLES Chapter 316 STATE UNIFORM TRAFFIC CONTROL View Entire Chapter 316.261 Brake equipment required.--Every motor vehicle, trailer, semitrailer, and pole trailer, and any combination of such vehicles, operating upon a highway within this state shall be equipped with brakes in compliance with the requirements of this chapter.
  2. Be aware that FL has a law requiring brakes on all axles for trailers (including the load) over 3,000 pounds. Many ignore this and some are ticketed, particularly in the Keys. I've trailered a 30' Grady Marlin with my F250 diesel, no issues. Good advice from the other posters - make sure the trailer is worthy of the trip.
  3. Try a clear epoxy used for garage floors. You can mix in the silica for a non-skid finish. It's extremely durable. Downside is it ain't cheap - but less expensive than a dr or dentist trip.
  4. I use these both in the boat and in the truck. I've had them for about ten years and they have endured some real rough treatment. http://www.baxcoproducts.com/
  5. Go here for instructional video. It's very informative. http://www.tapplastics.com/info/video.php Scroll down to where you see Gelcoat repair Parts 1 & 2.
