  1. I've seen these boats in person and they will take your breath away. The construction and attention to detail is simply incredible! Something to consider... of the 3 larger sportfisherman that Revenge (RAC) built with the same construction back in the late 80's/early 90's, all three boats (the REVENGE, Reel Joy, and Cookie II)are still some of the most well known and productive boats on the big game tournament scene. The "REVENGE" in St. Thomas won the USVI Atlantic Blue Marlin Tournament (AKA "The Boyscout") AGAIN last year, and is consistently the top boat in St Thomas for releasing blue marlin every season. The "Reel Joy" caught the largest white marlin in the White Marlin Open Tournament last season at around 90 lbs, and there isn't a giant bluefin tuna in the Northeast US that is safe from the crew of the Cookie II. Not to mention all of these boats are still a work of art after all the years out on the rip! Your boats clearly walk the walk Jon. Nice job, just wish I could afford one!
  2. I was hoping someone might be able to help point me in the right direction. Lately the processors on my two Furuno NavNet VX2 systems have been very slow to re-draw after I give it a command. For example, if I am in plotter mode and I want to change the scale from 4 miles to 8 miles, it might take a solid 30 seconds for it to show me what I want. Something is obsiously not right and I'm hoping this is just something simple (good luck, I know!). Here's the specs of the system if it helps. Two separate Furuno NavNet 10.4" displays (each with its own separate GPS antenna), 6KW radar with open array antenna, 1KW BBFF bottom machine, Sirius Satellite Weather with its own receiving antenna, and a TR1 autopilot tied in. The whole system is networked and interphased so I have the ability to put any display on either screen at any time. If anyone has any ideas on what might be slowing the re-draw down, I'd greatly appreciate any advice you can offer. Thanks! Dave
  3. Alright Mike, we both know you have a lot more pictures than that to share. If you don't wish to put them on here, I know how to keep them private. Dave-Gates@comcast.net Hope you've been doing well.
  4. I'm probably going to pull the trigger by the spring. Spent all day Sunday in Stuart on a beautiful 28' Southport and love the boat. I just need to find the right deal, and I'm not in any rush.
  5. Beautiful! One day soon for us I'm hoping. Getting a 28' Southport is one of my primary 2010 goals.
  6. Hi Auguste, I'm a real estate consultant that specializes in waterfront homes in Martin and St. Lucie County. I'm in Stuart, Palm City, Jensen Beach, and Port St. Lucie every day and have a very good sense of what the waterfront market is offering there. An example of the current market: I just put some European clients into their first waterfront home in Port St Lucie this month. The home is 3 bedroom, 3 full baths, 2 car garage, impact hurricane glass windows, granite counter tops with stainless appliances in the kitchen, home generator, a pool, on 85' of waterfront with a dock and a 12,000 lb. boat lift for $279,000. This is just one example, but as you can tell, there are some incredible waterfront opportunities currently in Southeast Florida that are not in big crazy cities like Miami. Give me a call at your earliest convenience and we can discuss what you might be looking for. I'll also be happy to give you full access to a special program I have for my buyers. My direct line is (772)834-0590, or you can contact me at Dave-Gates@comcast.net . Thank you, Dave
  7. Just signed up to advertise my Waterfront Real Estate website, and looking forward to consulting with many of you. Dave
  8. Love the 23 and plan on getting one hopefully soon.
  9. Hey Gang, My name is Dave and am looking forward to enjoying this site. I hold a 100 ton CG master's license, although I left the sportfishing business several years back and am now a waterfront real estate consultant between Ft Lauderdale and Stuart. Love to fish for blue & white marlin, tuna, dolphin, and wahoo. I'm looking to get a boat of my own soon, and am interested in getting to know many of the members on here. I've met some of my best friends on these sites, as there's nothing better then shooting the breeze with those that have common interests. Nice job Wiley! Thanks, Dave
