  1. I think the reason you're not finding them is that once people get one they don't get rid of them. There's a pretty good cult following. I have a lot of time in a Pathfinder of a friend of mine's and if I was buying it would be first choice.
  2. I don't know where that line came from in the above post.
  3. If you're in salt water you need to use antifouling bottom paint. I don't know about fresh water.
  4. I ruined the coating on my stuff but found something at www.navprotector.com. It's a stick on coating that has glare protection. It works great.
  5. Thanks for the replies guys. I'll pass them along.
  6. A friend of mine is looking at a 27 jupiter with twin Yamaha 250 HPDI.s on it. I thought I had heard some bad things about that motor in the past. Anyone know anything about these?
  7. I have a 2000 Yamaha F115 with 800 hours and not a problem yet.
  8. Up here in New Jersey we get them sometimes in July and August. We use eels and throw them to the cobia when we see them. there is no hesitation.
  9. I have a Furuno 1850 that is 6 yrs old and the coating on the screen had gotten scratched enough that it was very annoying. I took some cleaner wax and took it off thinking that it would be ok, but the glare on a sunny day is really bad. Furuno wants $375 to redo it. That's not going to happen. Does anyone know of a coating like maybe car window tint that I could put on the screen to get rid of the glare? Thanks in advance for the help.
  10. The tail doesn't look round enough for a goliath to me. Maybe it's different when iit's so big.
  11. Thanks guys, I'll givve them a call..
  12. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- I've had a 10 gph Floscan for 5 years now and at the end of last year the sender quit. I got a new sender and now it is inconsistent. The gph needle seems ok but the totalizer jumps around. It will get to about 1.8 and jump around between 1 and 2. Then it will jump to around 7 total and stay there for a while. Once it gets past 10 total it seems to settle down and be close to the pump reading when I fill up. I have an F115 Yamaha and 50 gallon tank, so it's not a big problem, just annoying. I thought it might be a bad connection so I checked all the connectors. Any ideas?
  13. A friend of mine is looking at a boat with a t-top and rod holders on the sides of the center console. There are no holes in the t-top for the rods to stick thru. I've seen boats with holes in the t-top and some kind of grommet in the holes. Does anyone know about these, where to get them and how to put them in? Thanks for the help.
  14. Good job. Sandra should be commended because she apparently realizes that when you take care of customers they will come back.
  15. Speaking of 140's, back in the day the marine police here in jersey had 17 Whalers with 135's or 140's and 90 hoods on them. Got that from one I knew at the time.
  16. Thanks for the GREAT info guys. I'm going to work on doing that. I have 3/8 plexiglass across the front and eisenglass on the sides. Do you think plexiglass would be ok on the sides or should it be lexan like you did?
  17. A couple years ago I saw pics on the old site of wings going from the side of the tee top to the gunwale made of plexiglass. It looks like a good idea. They had them on hinges so they could be out to the gunwale or right alongside the console. I've been looking for the thread and can't find it. Any one else remember that or know of anyone who did this and how it worked out?
