  1. Is that a 37' with the white yamahas? pretty boat...any idea of what the show price was?
  2. It had been down for the past week - seems they've been updating. looks good
  3. for the winter sailfish season we've been going to west palm area for years. Cannon Sport was a great place to stay but its gone now. The Sailfish has just become too much of a tourist spot. Looking for other places to stay on the water from Ft. Lauderdale to Jupiter that has rooms and slips and is visiting fisherman friendly. Having convenient trailer storage is helpful too. Boats are 30-32'. Any suggestions? thanks
  4. Went through this process recently. Wanted green and it limited my choices. I liked Seavision and Abyss but green wasn't an option. Plus where you mount them and shape of the lights will be consideration. Metal housing you will want to ground and the larger thru hulls you need more space to work. Ended up doing what I saw at the Miami Boat Show on the SeaVee 32b (same boat) and bought the OceanLed Abyss A12s. They fit the space I had, were the color and were easy to install. There are four screw holes though and I hope I used enough 4200! Time will tell. The lights work fine and I hope the plastic housing is as tough as they claim - upside of the plastic was no worry about corrosion. They're bright but since under my euro transom not as bright as others I've seen that are mounted on the transom with no obstruction. They work best in clear/shallow water (reflection). Also, keep in mind some the underwater lights CANNOT be run out of the water. Even LEDs of some get hot and need to have water on them to keep cool.
  5. real world performance bulletin page. real loads. real fishing conditions
  6. Tom - 2 emails to your address above and PMs on another site. Perhaps you missed them but you did not get back to me. I called and ended up speaking with a nice lady there. Her reply was that Bennett makes tabs up to 12" in chord length. Longer are OEM custom products done to their specs but custom lengths were not available. I was told to find a local metal shop to get longer than I have. If this is not the case, please let me know. PM me here. thank you
  7. yes. an email, pm and i even tried through their website. waiting on a reply
  8. kerno - thank you. That pic is helpful and I also like the idea of having new tabs made. My concern is can the existing rams and pumps handle it? I think I'll have get the specs from Bennett. I'm afraid of making the modifications only to find the rams can't push or hold them down. I knew someone out there had to have done this in the past. Do you think that if a set of k-planes could handle that much more surface area that the dual ram Bennetts could handle a similar upsize? Wet-n-Wiley also thank you to you. I do not post much and not much of an internet community guy but appreciate the resource when needed and the high quality content. I put this same post on THT and its instantly a circus about how the tabs are mounted wrong, or I can't drive...blah blah...until finally a few knowledgeable individuals added some value. I will never post on THT again as a result and hope this new site does well.
  9. I have the Bennett Sport tabs (dual ram, biggest they make think they're 12" x 16") and I need more tab. They're mounted about a half inch ABOVE the bottom of the boat - not flush. So to get them to bite well I need to deploy them more than I'd like. They work fine, just wish they were longer and flush with the bottom - have had K-planes on other boats and looking for something similar that can be adapted to or replace the Bennetts. Any suggestions or products out there that do this? Boat is a 32 seavee and I know of one other owner that installed starboard on the underside of the tabs to increase surface area and length - it made them flush with the bottom of the hull too. He likes the results but I'm concerned if the rams are powerful enough AND I'd rather find a product designed for this as opposed to doing it myself. Replacing the entire system with k-planes is an option but looking for other less costly solutions. Gracias
  10. I think the 2kw would suit you fine but I think with the fcv1150 you can get a transducer that allows you to select optimal output between 2 & 3kw AND tune frequency. They just get expensive.
