  1. Just seen post. If you still need photographers I would be happy to wear shirt and walk over to show with camera.
  2. Themes from Jaws and Gilligan's Island as we are leaving dock. Pink Floyd, Led Zepplin, and Metallica majority of the time with a little Mozart and Wagner mixed in.
  3. Where in SoFlo are you? I had water in my tank and had gas and tank cleaned. Dockside Filtration Service 954 525 1771. Rory is owner and based in Ft Laud. He brought everything to my driveway on a Saturday and took about 2 hours. Charged @ $200.00 for @ 120 gallons of gas and water. Removed @ 15 gallons of water and gas was usable when he was done.
  4. Chris, How hard would it be to convert your underwater LEDs to 110v AC to use as underwater dock lights?
  5. ScarabChris on here makes and sells lights. Quality lights at a good price and he stands behind product. http://www.coastalnightlights.com/
  6. Around 6 months ago I found them on Ebay for $9.00 each.
  7. In the late 80's I had a 16ft StarCraft. I was @20 at the time fishing the Chesapeake Bay with my younger brother. This was before gps. We were trolling for Bluefish when fog came in. Couldn't see 50ft. Should have headed straight home but we were young. Did @ a 25 mile loop in the middle Bay using our driver licenses as slide rule, a chart and a compass to find our way and stay out of ship's channel. Like I said we were young.
  8. Dose a posting while slightly buzzed count? If not I'll try to post again in a couple hours.
  9. "Money won is twice as sweet as money earned." "I'm a clown? I'm here to amuse you?"
  10. Always survey. While this is not tha same as your situation, about 6 years ago I purchased a 1990 Proline 30' from a repo yard. Paid cash as is. Had a mech look at motors, thought I knew enough about hulls. Transom was solid and had newer bottom paint. Old owner apparently hit something and had repaired and painted. After six months thier patch came off bow keel as I was coming out of Balto. Harbor. Made it back home and beached boat but still sank at pier. Total loss.
  11. Don't know what/any props on Zuks, but when I repowerd I had to change props and longer control cables. @$1000.00 Still have old props for sale.
  12. I have a 1986 Pursuit 2600 with trailer I purchased @2 1/2 years ago for $5,000. Hull and trasmon survied fine. Never sunk. Ran old motors for one summer back home and repowered with 2008 150 Optis last spring. Replaced old teak gunwales with starboard. Added a bunch of Scarbchris' lights. Still need to upgrade electronics and some more comestic work. Have @ $20,000 so far and maybe another $5,000 to go. I suppose I could have bought something newer for that price but I enjoy doing the work myself and know it is done right. If it something you can do and would enjoy, go for it and have fun.
  13. You may not be able to post Reelboating on fs but in the south section on the third page of tighty vs turd thread there is a pic of a guy (not me) wearing a RB t-shirt.
  14. I have to ask. Would you prefer boat on trailer or at dock at house? I am fairly new down here and boat wasn't in water last year. I am being told both be people who's opinions I don't trust as much as here. Dock is on sheltered canal pretty far inland. Thanks in advance for advice.
