  1. I agree that the battery replacement is a rip-off. The actual cost can't be more than $50 how do they charge $300 or $400 for it? The other thing is they will only replace the battery ONCE. Then you have to buy a new unit. What's with that? My unit is kept warm and dry and is shiney now as the day it was bought. It's sealed and what is there to wear out?
  2. Wow, this is weird. I logged into THT on another tab on my browser and now all of a sudden can see the pictures of the lights. How does THT log in get linked to whether you can see pictures on this site?
  3. So, is the first post supposed to have pictures of lights? The only thing I see is a picture of a nice boat in the day time.
  4. I don't have a power cat but I rode a friend's once and was impressed by the fact that you don't pee blood after a rough day. Can someone explain to me the difference between the Glacier Bay hull and the World Cat hull? Relative pros and cons of each?
  5. Two things: 1. Can someone explain what this card that evidently I am supposed to have is? 2. Sales tax, don't get me started - I could go on and on but in fifty words or less sales tax is the worst kind of tax to have because it drives marginal business out of business. If you can make 4 or 5 percent net on your sales and then pay income tax on your profit that is o.k. you still get some profit after tax - with sales tax if you can make 4 or 5 percent on your sales and pay 7% sales tax you go out of business because you're losing 3 or 4% on every dollar you gross. Don't tell me you collect it on top of your sales because it is just amounts to raising your price - if you could do that without losing sales volume wouldn't you have done it already?
  6. I have seen some people rig an anchor like this for fishing but just use a piece of re-bar with a 45 degree bend in the end. Not for emergencies but good for fishing in places where the anchor can get stuck a lot. The breakaway system helps a lot and if it is still stuck you only lose a bent re-bar.
